I know it's out there!

A name that is beautiful, that can be found in the old testament, and long with a great nick name. Please help!

examples that work, but we just don’t happen to like:

[name]Abigail[/name] / [name]Abby[/name] (too stiff)
[name]Delilah[/name] / [name]Lilah[/name] (bad meaning in bible)
[name]Jezebel[/name] / [name]Belle[/name] (bad meaning in bible)

[name]Miriam[/name] ([name]Mimi[/name], [name]Miri[/name], [name]Ria[/name], etc.)
[name]Rebecca[/name] ([name]Reba[/name], [name]Beck[/name], [name]Becca[/name], [name]Becky[/name])
[name]Esther[/name] (Estey, [name]Essie[/name], etc.)

That’s about as good as I’ve got. Most of my ideas ([name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], etc.) are New Testament names. I think [name]Miriam[/name] is a really sweet, pretty choice, though.

Some more thoughts:

[name]Deborah[/name] nn [name]Bee[/name]
[name]Judith[/name] nn [name]Judy[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name] nn [name]Ruthie[/name]

I’m guessing you want a rare name. Of course the popular/common names come to mind, but with fresh nicknames. Have you googled old testament names? [name]Delilah[/name] is such a pretty name, too bad.

[name]Eva[/name]- [name]Evie[/name]

It’s kind of difficult. There aren’t that many and I don’t know how many are long and beautiful . some of the nice ones are in the New Testament.

[name]Adina[/name] (it’s a male soldier, but this name is used for girls now)
[name]Tamar[/name] (not long, you could use the Russian form [name]Tamara[/name])

I think [name]Hadassah[/name] is beautiful. It is [name]Esther[/name]'s Hebrew name and means “[name]Myrtle[/name] tree”

Good luck!

[name]Elisheva[/name] - [name]Elle[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Ella[/name], [name]Evie[/name], [name]Eva[/name]

[name]Keturah[/name] nn [name]Kit[/name]?
