I voted that I love him. I do not fully love [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] but I more than like it.

My great-great-grandpa, born around 1820, was a [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] (nicknamed [name_u]Jerry[/name_u]), and several of his descendants have been named after him. I like the name but don’t love it.

Now that is interesting my [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] was born in 1817. So it could have been the ‘in’ name for the time.

Sorry…I just start humming ‘[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] was a bullfrog…’ whenever I hear it. [name_f]Love[/name_f] that song!

I think it’s a gorgeous name.

Me too, exactly.

I like my names with more than two syllables, so [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is great that way. I just happen to heartily dislike the name/nickname [name_u]Jerry[/name_u], which I’m afraid is inevitable. So I don’t know how to vote. It’s…memorable, venerable, distinguished…a gray-bearded name. That, or a mischievous freckle-faced boy, not dark-haired. Okay, I like it.

I am not keen on [name_u]Jerry[/name_u] either but I have a really cool nn for [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] and it is [name_u]Remy[/name_u] and you get this if you take the remi out of [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]! And who wouldn’t love a little [name_u]Remy[/name_u]?

If [name_u]Remy[/name_u] doesn’t tick your boxes then I think [name_f]Jez[/name_f] or Jezza would do well now wdyt?

rollo

My “I like him” means use it if you love it.

I like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], but prefer [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. I too dislike [name_u]Jerry[/name_u], but think [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is very cute! I prefer [name_u]Jem[/name_u] though, such a handsome name! x

I like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] a lot—it’s become a lot more usable in the last few years. But I actually prefer [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] versions are great names that would sound wonderful on a little boy.

I think of the White Giraffe who was nicknamed [name_u]Jemmy[/name_u].

[name_f]Jez[/name_f] is great! I think I would probably say the whole name, [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], most of the time, since I really like the sound of it. And [name_f]Jez[/name_f] when i’m in a hurry.
