I am considering using the first name [name]Aurelia[/name] (aw-rail-lee-a) if I am having a girl. It means “gold” and I would like to use a middle name to play off of the meaning. I love the middle name “rain,” but obviously I wouldn’t name my child “golden rain!!” I like nature names, elegant names, old fashioned names, etc. The meaning is important, but it isn’t crucial.
I am considering [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Soleil[/name], “golden sun,” but sometimes I think that comes off a little presumptuous.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Our last name is 2 syllables and sounds like [name]Kristen[/name].
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is my favorite, and my two favorite Combos are [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Kai[/name_u] (golden sea) and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] (golden bird, though the [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is usually synomonys to song and music)
Random suggestions:
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Melora[/name_f] (a bit redundant, but pretty flow!)
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] has been climbing up my list lately–I like the meaning, and that it’s a species of jellyfish!
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Echo[/name_u] is cool. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are on my list. [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f] ([name_m]French[/name_m]) is at the top of my list. But I would name her [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] so she can grow up and be taken seriously as a strong woman.
Also [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f] is horribly mispronounced in English - people keep saying ORALLY like medication to be taken orally. Ask a Frenchy to pronounce it for you, it’s beautiful and sing songy more like au-rae-[name_u]LEE[/name_u].
The nicknames are endless:
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurielle[/name_f], [name_u]Arial[/name_u], [name_f]Arella[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelle[/name_f], [name_f]Auralei[/name_f],Relie/Raliegh, [name_u]Lee[/name_u], [name_f]Aura[/name_f], Aurl, Aulie, [name_u]Ori[/name_u]/[name_f]Aurie[/name_f], [name_f]Orla[/name_f], [name_f]Arla[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Aurea[/name_f], Liea (leah or laia), [name_f]Aurore[/name_f], [name_u]Arlie[/name_u]/[name_f]Orly[/name_f], [name_f]Lilie[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilly[/name_f])
I personally like the middle names [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], Laira, [name_f]Lara[/name_f], [name_m]Lael[/name_m], Liara… I find the sound very soft and flow out of the [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f]. Not sure what the meaning of most of them is.
