[name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]- this name honors my husband’s grandma who passed away, [name]Betty[/name] [name]Lou[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] Lynae [name]Kristine[/name]- Lynae and [name]Kristine[/name] are my two sisters middle names.
[name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Marie[/name]- After much debate and switching combos around, we chose [name]Joy[/name], which is my middle name. [name]Marie[/name] we just like with [name]Anneliese[/name].
[name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]- we have had [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] on our list for a long time, and after pairing many different names with [name]Alaina[/name] we kept going back to [name]Grace[/name]. [name]Danielle[/name] we added to honor [name]Daniel[/name], my husband.
We were trying to honor too many people at first so we made it more simple by honoring just one grandma, our mothers and my sisters.
Any thoughts suggestions and criticisms?
I’m not fond of 2 middle names because they feel a bit cumbersome. And when I do like them it tends to be because at least two of the names is only 1 syllable. (like [name]Eve[/name] [name]Corinna[/name] [name]Jane[/name]), but anyway.
I like [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Danielle[/name] the best of your list.
Congratulations on having your list sorted! I miss [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Viviana[/name], but I love how much family significance is in each combo, and I think all your FNs go so well together. I especially love [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Marie[/name]!
I also am not a fan of the double middle names, as it detracts from the beautiful first name. I feel like when you get a second middle name in there, people stop appreciating each individual name and just hear a string of words that they have to memorize. Having said that, I understand that you want to honor people equally. Still, my first bit of advice would be to lop one middle name off each combo. I don’t think you’ll offend anybody by NOT honoring them in the name–you’ll just make one person very happy, whoever you choose to honor–and there’s nothing wrong with that.
[name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]- All three of these names are beautiful, and flow well in any order. I also think you could eliminate any one of the names and it would sound even nicer.
[name]Julia[/name] Lynae [name]Kristine[/name]- I think [name]Julia[/name] is a great choice, and love that it’s not overly popular right now. As for Lynae and [name]Kristine[/name], I would try to combine them into one name, or combine parts of your sisters first names into one name. [name]Julia[/name] Kristynae?
[name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Marie[/name]- [name]Anneliese[/name] is beautiful! [name]Joy[/name] and [name]Marie[/name] both go well with it, though I would still just pick one. [name]Just[/name] a personal thing. I would like the whole combo better with just one–either of them.
[name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]- [name]Love[/name] [name]Alaina[/name]! So sweet! To be honest, I don’t think [name]Grace[/name] flows well with it, in my opinion. I think [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Danielle[/name] comes off the tongue like poetry. But if you keep going back to [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name], I would consider dropping [name]Danielle[/name], though it would be sweet if she shared her father’s name.
My favorites are [name]Claire[/name], [name]Julia[/name], and [name]Anneliese[/name] – all favorites of mine.
I agree with virtually everything that alzora said.
Your [name]Claire[/name] combination contains three gorgeous names, but I vote for using just one of the middle names: [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] or [name]Claire[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]. I slightly prefer [name]Claire[/name] [name]Louisa[/name], because [name]Elisabeth[/name] will tend to be misspelled.
Similarly for your [name]Julia[/name] combination, I would go with [name]Julia[/name] Lynae or [name]Julia[/name] [name]Kristine[/name]. They are equally beautiful, imo.
Your [name]Anneliese[/name] combo is delightful, but I vote for [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Joy[/name] as ideal.
[name]Alaina[/name] is pretty, but I like the other first names better. If you go with [name]Alaina[/name], I vote for [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]. I am not fond of [name]Alaina[/name] and [name]Grace[/name] together. The double long A sound detracts from the flow just a bit.
You are working with a GORGEOUS set of names here. Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I realize two middles are not everyone’s cup of tea, but we really like it being able to honor family members that way.
I tried combining my sisters names, but didn’t come up with anything that seemed pretty or useable. I couldn’t choose one to honor over the other as we are all so close. Kristynae is one we didn’t think of. That is a neat combination. Thanks for the idea.
My husband really wanted both [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] in the combination to be a more direct honor to [name]Betty[/name] [name]Lou[/name]. Her name was just [name]Betty[/name] in the first place not [name]Elisabeth[/name], but we don’t care for the sound of just [name]Betty[/name] as much so we decided to go with [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] also. I do agree that just one would be pretty and more sensible maybe but we have grown to love the combination.
I did wonder about the matching long “A” sounds in both [name]Alaina[/name] and [name]Grace[/name]. Unfortunately, our other middle name options were [name]Jayne[/name], [name]May[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] and they all have the same problem. We considered using [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Marie[/name]. I also liked [name]Sophia[/name] but didn’t know if liked the two “uh” ending sounds together. My husband is more attached to [name]Grace[/name] than I am. I may find some other suggestions for him as I really want the name to flow well.
Thanks for the input, more is welcome. Especially middle ideas for a name between [name]Alaina[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name].
It is incredibly difficult to choose between your [name]Claire[/name], [name]Julia[/name], and [name]Anneliese[/name] combos because I [name]LOVE[/name] the names. But, if I had to choose one right now to put on a birth certificate, I would go with [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name].
everwaiteing, I’m glad you like [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name], because that is what we will name our first girl!(assuming we get one. )We wanted to honor my husbands grandma [name]Betty[/name] [name]Lou[/name], who passed away, with the first girl. After that we would probably use [name]Julia[/name] Lynae [name]Kristine[/name]. ( I think my husband would choose [name]Anneliese[/name] or [name]Alaina[/name] over [name]Julia[/name], though, if he was honest. ) [name]Julia[/name] is my second favorite and has been on the list for a long time. I am becoming more attached to [name]Anneliese[/name] though, too. So hard to decided!
I respectfully disagree!
I have two middles, and I adore it! It’s great because I never liked the first one so it’s nice having the second one which I do like.
It definitely doesn’t detract from the names imo, makes it extra special because I realize my parents really wanted them there. No one goes around saying all three names anyways, it’s just a nice little “secret”.
I love [name]Alaina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]. I also love [name]Betty[/name] and would like to see it used more as a first name. ([name]Betty[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Joy[/name]?) [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] would be my second fav but one of the two middle names seems out of place. Either [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Claire[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] would sound better, but I may be in the minority. I think one or the other would honor [name]Betty[/name] [name]Lou[/name] just as well as both names. [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Anneliese[/name] are also very pretty but I do not like the middle names. I am wondering what your sisters’ first names are. [name]One[/name] more thing I thought to mention was that I think it’s a little unnecessary to honor your husband or yourself, just my personal opinion. For one, it would be your kid and that’s already an honor. For two, that leaves her less options when she has a kid and wants to name it after you.
My sisters first names are [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Heidi[/name].I personally like their middle names better than the first names, especially paired with my first names. I thought of using [name]Lynelle[/name] as a combination of [name]Arielle[/name] and Lynae but my husband didn’t like it. I also like [name]Arietta[/name] but it didn’t seem to fit as well with the names we like. I also wanted to combine them into one name so I could be sure to honor both, in case I don’t have many girls.
The main reasons we chose to use [name]Joy[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name] was just because we liked the names and flow. I have many other family names that I could use, but most just don’t work with the first names we have chosen. Also, my girls could use [name]Danielle[/name] and [name]Joy[/name] if they wanted to even if they are their own names.
Its good to see feedback from someone who has two middle names. Thanks for the input!
