I don’t know much, but I would say, have a look at Create Space. It’s a cheaper and more effective way to self-publish. 
One thing in regards to the book, I’d really love to see is the acknowledgement that some names are used in multiple countries and are sort of important in multiple cultures.
To add on to this, I’d love for a baby book to acknowledge that some names are pronounced differently in other cultures, such as Aleechuh in Italian ([name_f]Alice[/name_f]) or Awna in Germanic countries ([name_f]Anna[/name_f]). Oh, and to include some non-Anglo names/international variants of names.
