Hey everyone. So I am six weeks from delivering my baby girl and I have been kind of set on [name]Avery[/name] for a while, but now I am rethinking it. I have a daughter named [name]Ella[/name] [name]Jones[/name] and a son named [name]Robert[/name] [name]Cullen[/name], (he goes by [name]Cullen[/name] and both middle names are family names.) I originally thought [name]Halle[/name], to stick with the double Ls. Then I switched to [name]Avery[/name] because it I thought it sounded a little more sophisticated (I really like the name [name]Ava[/name]) and with the Y at the end I thought it still sounded sweet yet distinct from the other two. Maybe I’m just overthinking it here at the end but I’m starting to feel [name]Avery[/name] sounds a little to common/masculine/cutesie. Part of the reason I like [name]Ella[/name] is because I think it sounds sophisticated and feminine. I’m not too concerned with a name being too popular, just as long as it goes good with the other two.
For middle names I am thinking of sticking with a family name – [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rita[/name]. Yes, I’m aware “[name]Avery[/name] [name]Rose[/name] has its thorn…”
Hmm, well [name]Avery[/name] certainly does have a different feeling than [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Robert[/name]. That isn’t a big deal though, unless it’s important to you. [name]Ava[/name] does go better with the sibset if you do like it a lot and you aren’t concerned with popularity.
I think [name]Avery[/name] or [name]Ava[/name] go with your sibset.
I like [name]Ava[/name] [name]Rose[/name] better I think.
What about:
[name]Auden[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Aubrey[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ( great with [name]Ella[/name])
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Ada[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ( not as overused as [name]Ava[/name])
[name]Avery[/name] seems out of place with [name]Ella[/name] & [name]Robert[/name]. It doesn’t sound sophisticated to me. [name]Ava[/name] is better but too close to [name]Ella[/name]. [name]Halle[/name] is a great fit
If not [name]Halle[/name]:
[name]Haven[/name]
[name]Colette[/name]
[name]Mavis[/name]
[name]Fallon[/name]
[name]Camille[/name]
[name]Callista[/name]
I like [name]Callista[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. It has the double L, sounds pretty and sophisticated, and can have a nn [name]Callie[/name] if you like when she is little
I prefer [name]Avery[/name] on a boy, myself, but besides that I just think [name]Ava[/name] sounds better with your other children. [name]Ava[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is very pretty. I also think [name]Halle[/name] would go. [name]Halle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] sounds nice too.
I think [name]Halle[/name] is much, much more sophisticated than [name]Avery[/name]. [name]Avery[/name] does manage to be both masculine and cutesy, which is kind of hard to do. I love, [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Halle[/name] though, and it fits in wonderfully with your other names. [name]Halle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is gorgeous.
At the time of naming our DD our second choice was [name]Callie[/name]. I still love this name and it has your double LL’s if you like.
A full name could be [name]Callista[/name] (as someone mentioned) or [name]Kalinda[/name] and [name]Callie[/name] as the nn. Though personally I would just use [name]Callie[/name].
First off, “[name]Avery[/name] [name]Rose[/name] has its thorn” -hilarious. Why not name her [name]Avery[/name] but call her [name]Ava[/name]? Sort of like a [name]Katherine[/name] going as [name]Katie[/name].
Though I do like the double L’s too and the way [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Halle[/name] look together. But go with your gut and name you love not b/c something else determined it.
I wouldn’t do [name]Avery[/name] if you want a girly name because [name]Avery[/name] is going to a lot of boys now. I like [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]! :). Good luck!
