I would love to know what you think

I’m expecting a girl after 3 boys in a row. I’ve been trying to find a name for her since the day I found out she was a girl. I’ve narrowed it down to 2 names that I love. Please let me know which one you like better…

  1. [name]Mila[/name] ( need a middle name…any suggestions?!)

  2. [name]Athena[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]

Her last name will be [name]Cameron[/name].

I forgot to add that her brothers names are…

  1. [name]Bryce[/name]
  2. [name]Gabe[/name]
  3. [name]Rhys[/name]
  1. [name]Mila[/name] ( need a middle name…any suggestions?!)- I’m not really a fan of [name]Mila[/name] but some names I think would work well in as the mn are (and I think that a long mn would flow better with short and simple [name]Mila[/name]):
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] (actually a bit ‘L’ heavy when I say it out loud)
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Justine[/name]
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]
    [name]Mila[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]

  2. [name]Athena[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]- i like the Greek goddess reference but think [name]Athena[/name] would be better placed in the mn slot. There’s something about just straight out [name]Athena[/name] that puts me off a little… On the up side, I love [name]Scarlett[/name]. Would you consider reversing the name and using [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Athena[/name]?
Some other suggestions just in case:
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Lilia[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name]- a bit of a mouthful, whoops!
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Carley[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Rachel[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Christelle[/name]
    [name]Athena[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] i helped and good luck:)

I love [name]Mila[/name]! I would say [name]Mila[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Mila[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name]

Out of the two, I like [name]Mila[/name].

I think [name]Mila[/name] is ok, but I love [name]Nila[/name]! I don’t know what it is. I also think [name]Athena[/name] is great, but it is a very full and powerful name, not to be chosen at whim, in my opinion. So this is like flipping a coin? Or do you love [name]Athena[/name], but also have in mind something more realistic, which blends better with the brothers, like [name]Mila[/name]? I like simple names best myself, so [name]Mila[/name] wins it for me. Goddesses are great for reference, but that’s just not humble enough for me. It’s not just Greek, it’s Greece in person - and your other children don’t have Greek names.

I would think on that a while. [name]Athena[/name] would be awesome, but as a choice, it’s also kind of intimidating. I’ve given my input, feel free not to agree with my assessment. I think [name]Mila[/name] is better.

[name]Do[/name] you like any other names? Are these names you had considered during your other pregnancies, or is this what you’ve narrowed it down to? I’m sure you’ll get a lot of suggestions and help to figure out the ideal combo. I think [name]Mila[/name], [name]Athena[/name], and [name]Scarlett[/name] don’t really help me figure out what kind of names you like, as they seem 3 very different styles of name, while they all convey some sense of strength, the also put out different attitudes.

I really like [name]Athena[/name]…and I think it would work well with the names of your boys.

I love the name [name]Athena[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name], but I think [name]Mila[/name] (or the other suggestion of [name]Nila[/name]), works better with your boy’s names, and I like it as well!

[name]Mila[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] (combining the two names)
[name]Mila[/name] Rosamel
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Honora[/name]/[name]Honore[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Safira[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Liliana[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Minerva[/name] ([name]Roman[/name] version of [name]Athena[/name])
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Quincy[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Juno[/name]/[name]June[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Jacinda[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Artemisia[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] Amazonia
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]/[name]Felicia[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Delicia[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name]

I think [name]Athena[/name] is a great name, but it doesn’t fit with your boy’s names at all. [name]Mila[/name] is a better match, and a pretty name as well, though I prefer it as a nickname for [name]Emilia[/name]/[name]Amelia[/name] or [name]Camila[/name].

[name]Mila[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Coralie[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Bridget[/name]

I, too, think that [name]Mila[/name] works better with your children’s names.

Best wishes to you!

Thanks everyone for your input! I actually am taking [name]Athena[/name] out of the running just because after saying it a few times with the boys names, I don’t think it flows that well. So now I’m going to continue the search for the perfect name. [name]Mila[/name] is still on the top of my list, but if anyone could suggest some more girls names that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

[name]Bryce[/name], [name]Gabe[/name], [name]Rhys[/name], and

[name]Cai[/name] - “rejoice” - Welsh
[name]Mair[/name] - “[name]Mary[/name]” - Welsh
[name]Wynne[/name] - “fair, blessed” - Welsh

Wasn’t sure if you wanted to keep with the one-syllable theme…

Thanks for the list of names. It gives me something to work with. I like some of the names you suggested. The type of name I am looking for is a timeless name that is NOT overly popular.

Let’s see…

[name]Mila[/name] [name]Christabel[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Guinevere[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] Rosabel/[name]Rosabelle[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Raphaelle[/name]
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Viviette[/name] (because [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Cameron[/name] didn’t sound that great together to me)
[name]Mila[/name] [name]Valentine[/name]

I can see these with your sons’ names (especially [name]Bryce[/name] and [name]Rhys[/name]):

[name]Bronwyn[/name] (not the best with your last name, though)
[name]Guinevere[/name] (nn [name]Vera[/name] or [name]Gwen[/name])

Names that have [name]Mila[/name]'s exotic feel to me:

[name]Aurora[/name] (nn [name]Rory[/name], which feels like [name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Bryce[/name] to me…)
[name]Camille[/name]/[name]Camilla[/name] (and you could nn her [name]Mila[/name])

Not exotic sounding, but I can see them with your sons’ names:

Good luck!

I love [name]Mila[/name]. It’s very cute. [name]How[/name] exciting to be having a little girl.

Others to think about…

I knew an [name]Athena[/name] and she disliked her name.

Another vote for [name]Mila[/name]- it’s a much better match with your boys’ names.

Are you pronouncing [name]Mila[/name] like mee-lah or mill-ah? I would think with the one L that it is mee-lah whereas [name]Milla[/name] would be mill-ah. I love both actually. [name]Camilla[/name] is my favorite way to get [name]Milla[/name], but I think [name]Matilda[/name] works too (and imo it’s a refreshing, feminine nn as an alternative to [name]Mattie[/name]). For [name]Mila[/name], I think it’s a great stand alone name but could also be short for [name]Milena[/name] (mih-lay-na).

With [name]Bryce[/name], [name]Gabe[/name], and [name]Rhys[/name]:
[name]Camilla[/name] nn [name]Milla[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] nn [name]Milla[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] nn [name]Mia[/name]

Good luck!
