Ian, Ronan, Alton or other?

Help! We are 37 weeks but all signs point to any day now says the good midwife. We love [name]Ian[/name] (had previously loved [name]Ethan[/name] but too popular). We like [name]Ronan[/name] (Gaelic meaning: baby seal) but aren’t fans of the Japanese meaning (samurai without a master). I love the sound of [name]Alton[/name] but hubby thinks its sounds too FoodNetworkish. Any suggestions on similar sounding names or favorites from what I have listed? Middle name most likely Donley after my grandfather and uncle.

My favorite from those you listed is [name]Ian[/name], and I don’t really like the others. If I could make a suggestion I would say [name]Nathan[/name], [name]Austin[/name], or [name]Lincoln[/name].

[name]Iain[/name], [name]Ciaran[/name], [name]Gwilym[/name], [name]Hamish[/name], Seamas, [name]Cormac[/name].

[name]Ian[/name]'s my favorite from your list…

What about [name]Owen[/name]? [name]Ewan[/name]? [name]Eamon[/name]?

I like [name]Ian[/name], though it’s a little boring to me. I agree that [name]Alton[/name] is only Food Network to me, but what about [name]Alden[/name]? I bought some frou frou ice cream with brand [name]Alden[/name]'s and the name just kinda seemed cool. It’s been on the SSN since it started, so in use for a while, though I don’t think I’d call it a classic. Please don’t choose [name]Auden[/name] as an alternative. I do not know why but this name is just nails on a chalkboard to me.

I have never been a fan of [name]Ronan[/name] as it reminds me of pepperoni.

[name]Love[/name] pp’s suggestions of [name]Eamon[/name] and [name]Cormac[/name], especially w/ nn [name]Mack[/name].

Others?

[name]Winston[/name]
[name]Hugh[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Neville[/name]
[name]Liam[/name]
[name]Finn[/name] (not my thing, but some like it)
[name]Aaron[/name]
[name]Evan[/name]

Thanks for all the great suggestions! We’ll take them to the hospital! Also considering [name]Keenan[/name] now.
