Identical Twin Girls

[name]Hi[/name] there! My name is [name]Lillie[/name] Ravensdale, I am 27, and I am new to nameberry. I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first babies: identical twin girls, and I don’t want to give them really girly “twin” names, so I want them to have pretty unisex names. I also don’t care if they have one or two middle names, as long as they both have the same amount. The two names I like the most are [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name]. We would probably call them [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emery[/name] or [name]Emerie[/name]. We were also thinking of [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Harper[/name], or [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name], calling them Aldie and [name]Emerie[/name]. We also like: [name]Avery[/name], [name]Murphy[/name], [name]Addison[/name], and [name]Sawyer[/name]. I would like some more unisex suggestions, it’s difficult to choose a good one. Another combo I like is [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Harper[/name]. We do, however, want their middle names to be feminine, to balance it out. i.e. [name]Harper[/name] [name]Elaine[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Alden[/name] [name]Emmaline[/name], [name]Avery[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Murphy[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Addison[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Harper[/name] [name]Marie[/name], etc. Please leave some comments/suggestions. By the way, my husband’s name is [name]Michael[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] Ravensdale, we call him [name]Michael[/name].
Thanks so much!

I like [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] together for the twins! I like [name]Avery[/name] too. Not a fan of [name]Alden[/name] as a twin name, it’s just a flat out boy name to me.

I agree with the previous poster; [name]Alden[/name] doesn’t strike me as unisex for some reason (more decidedly masculine), but I really like your other choices. A friend of mine has twin girls named [name]Reese[/name] and [name]Sloane[/name], with a younger sister named [name]Greer[/name]. Their names are all lovely unisex possibilities for your list, I think.

Im not a HUGE fan of unisex names but I do like some…

I like the sound of [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] together! I dont like [name]Harper[/name] with [name]Emerson[/name] as [name]Emerson[/name] has a nn and [name]Harper[/name] doesnt really…

SOme other unisex names that I think are nice are:

First of all, congrats!

Secondly, I’m not a fan of unisex names - especially ones ending in ‘son’. Nonetheless, [name]Emerson[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] I really like together.

[name]Emerson[/name] [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] [name]Adeline[/name] was my first thought.

[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Peyton[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Finley[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Parker[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Rose[/name]

Ravensdale is a beautiful surname, very unusual. It comes from the area of [name]Scotland[/name] around [name]Dundee[/name].

In fact, it’s so rare that there are only 4 people named [name]Michael[/name] Ravensdale in the US, UK or [name]Canada[/name], and none of them are named [name]Michael[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] Ravensdale. And there is no one named [name]Lillie[/name] Ravensdale anywhere in the English-speaking world, according to the open sources available.

All quite interesting. Also interesting is the fact that someone allegedly expecting twins would select the singular screen name “littlebabyberry.”

[name]Briar[/name] & [name]Scout[/name] (I really like these two together)
[name]Arden[/name] & [name]Emery[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] & [name]Edison[/name] (nn [name]Edie[/name]?)
[name]Flannery[/name] & [name]Quinn[/name]

Others that could work:

Thank you all. I really like [name]Sawyer[/name] and [name]Finley[/name] together, and my husband likes [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Harper[/name]. And, of course, thank you to blade for kindly denying my name and pregnancy. Yes, I am in fact pregnant with twin girls, thank you very much. And yes, we are the only Ravensdale’s (that we know of) in [name]New[/name] Zealand. Our cousins (more Ravensdales) are moving here soon. There is, however, a street in Auckland called Ravensdale. Anyway, to you non-rude people, thank you very much for commenting. And, if you must know, I tried “littlebabyberries” and it wouldn’t let me take the name. I really like the name [name]Alden[/name], I had a friend growing up named [name]Alden[/name], and she was very girly and we called her “Aldie” so I was thinking maybe [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] or [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name].
Thanks again

I dislike any -son name on a girl. It’s like naming a son ‘daughter of’.

[name]Alden[/name] is too masculine- sorry. [name]Avery[/name] is too popular (at least in the USA), but I do like it on a girl.

Here are some more suggestions:

Thanks aurra. I really like the names [name]Riley[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] together! So cute! I will have to ask [name]Michael[/name] about those. [name]Riley[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], perhaps? Or maybe [name]Riley[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Riley[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. Thanks so much!

I like [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emery[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] and [name]Avery[/name]

Ps. I like [name]Emery[/name] better than [name]Emerson[/name] and if you are gonna call her [name]Emery[/name] anyways… Plus it seems to go better with [name]Harper[/name]. GOOD [name]LUCK[/name]!

I really like [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Avery[/name].
Also [name]Alden[/name] and [name]Emery[/name].

[name]Alden[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Emery[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Alden[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] [name]Emmaline[/name]

Aldie is super cute (reminds me of [name]Audrey[/name]), and honestly, though I’m not a huge fan of unisex names, I’d prefer something like [name]Alden[/name] over a name that has “son” in it.

[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] would be my pick, but that might be too matchy for you.

Voicing most of the other posters, Alden has more of a masculine sound to my ears and Avery is getting rather popular in the US, as is Riley. Though Riley and Reese do sound cute.

More suggestions:

And congrats on twins.

First off, congratulations on TWINS!!

Out of your choices I like [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] best. I like the spelling of [name]Emery[/name] better than [name]Emerie[/name]. I don’t prefer [name]Alden[/name], but what about [name]Addison[/name] nn [name]Addie[/name]? [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Addison[/name] would be cute.
As for middle names, I like [name]Harper[/name] [name]Elaine[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. What about [name]Emerson[/name] Larke? They have the same feel to them.
Might I suggest [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]? [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] or [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] would be adorable.

Best of luck to you!!

My apologies. There are several attention-seeking people who fake pregnancies on this website. They nearly always invent multiples and those multiples are nearly always girls. It is very uncommon for new members to list their full name and especially their husband’s full name, for privacy purposes. People naming real children are usually quite protective of their identities. Spelling out full names is nearly always a red flag that a bored teenage girl is ‘playing house’ and is fantasizing about a future family.

just wanted to vindicate myself here. Most people pregnant with actual children can keep their story straight:

On 11/27/12:

29wks on 11/27/12 would put an EDC on or about 2/10/13.

“seven months pregnant” would imply 32 weeks.

unless twins are mono/mono, it’s impossible to know if they’re identical until after birth. Fraternal twins can be monochorionic.

Hello [name]Lillie[/name] thank you for coming to nameberry for advice and we look forward to seeing the birth announcement on the nameberry birth section.

[name]Harper[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] would be a good match and here are some other ideas,

[name]Bellamy[/name] and [name]Avalon[/name]

Airlie and [name]Camryn[/name]

Ainsley and [name]Quinn[/name]

[name]Darcy[/name] and [name]Rory[/name]

[name]Blaise[/name] and [name]Remy[/name]

[name]Marley[/name] and Kirin

[name]Jordan[/name] and [name]Perry[/name]

[name]Luca[/name] and [name]Hayden[/name]

Tarran and [name]Miller[/name]

[name]Rowan[/name] and [name]Tristram[/name]

[name]Teal[/name] and [name]Bay[/name]

I love [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Elaina[/name], [name]Verity[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Talitha[/name], [name]Tahlia[/name], [name]Marguerite[/name], [name]Giselle[/name].

Best wishes and I hope that you can find some stunning combos that warm your heart. Please let us know.

Oh blade have we uncovered yet another troll here with this lady named [name]Lillie[/name]? I agree the security issue is important but the thing that I don’t like is that we spend our valuable time helping people who are fake that is a very selfish action on their part.

I was looking forward to following the naming journey of this poster.

A few more:

[name]Kendall[/name] and [name]Bryce[/name]

[name]Peta[/name] and [name]Robin[/name]

[name]Rey[/name] and [name]Cole[/name]

[name]Brent[/name] and [name]Taylor[/name]

[name]Sidney[/name] and [name]Wallace[/name] (nn [name]Lacey[/name])

I love [name]Riley[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Beautiful names and perfect twin set, in my opinion.
