My friend is due to have a baby girl in [name_f]September[/name_f] and announced today that they have chosen the name [name_f]Idony[/name_f]. I think it’s a lovely name and very unusual, so I thought I’d share it with my fellow berries to see what you all think of it.
It’s a name I don’t know whether or not I like it. I like it, but at same time, I find something off with this name. I prefer Idunn.
It’s certainly intriguing and unusual! I first misread it as “Irony”, though, so I’m not sure I’m a huge fan. I still can’t get “Irony - Thoughts?” out of my head every time I read your title! So it would be a no for me, especially if it sounds like irony with a “D”. If I could disassociate it with Irony, I think I would rather like it, though. It’s not the type of name I generally like, but it certainly is intriguing and I’d love to know how it is really said. 
@ashthedreamer - My friend said it like irony, i.e. eye-do-nee. I don’t know if that’s the standard pronunciation though as I’ve never heard anyone else say it.
