If baby #2–due in [name]April[/name]–is a boy, we’ve got a name all figured out: [name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]. Done and done.
And yes, Arrested Development fans, our last name DOES start with a B and we think it would be hilarious and awesome to take advantage of that by having a GOB…but more importantly [name]George[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name] are both family names that we both love. [name]Win[/name] win! (Are we terrible parents? Maybe don’t answer that…)
However, we’re pretty confident we’re getting another girl and we can’t come up with any girl names we agree on. So here’s the question: what would be the girl name equivalent of [name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]?
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]George[/name]. [name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] is a handsome combo (though I admit I haven’t seen many episode of Arrested Development, haha). I think these have a similar springy, un-fussy, mildly vintage sound.
[name]Georgina[/name] [name]Odette[/name]
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Opal[/name]
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
I’m assuming you want G and O’s?
You’ve got me cracking up with the Gob reference.
I can’t think of any suggestions right this second, but I just wanted you to know your joke made my night!
[name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] is great- I chuckled at the thought of GOB.
A few ideas:
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Helen[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Mary[/name]
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Delia[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Agatha[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Maude[/name]
[name]Adela[/name]
I know you’re not trying to MATCH [name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name], but since you like that name so much, how do you feel about [name]Georgia[/name]? I’d pair it with something classic and vintagey (to give the same vibe as [name]George[/name] [name]Oscar[/name])… how bout [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]? [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Lou[/name]?
[name]Georgina[/name] is a great name so I would go with that but with a literary mn like [name]Elizabeth[/name] as in Browning, or Wilde (a nod to [name]Oscar[/name]) or [name]Emily[/name] for [name]Bronte[/name] etc etc
