I have boy name problems. Nothing seems quite right.
I like [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m], but dislike it’s lack of likable intuitive nickname.
I love [name_u]Francis[/name_u], [name_m]John[/name_m] & [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], but dislike how my husband vetoed them as too plain & popular.
More that I like, but fear are insubstantial
[name_m]Cliff[/name_m]
[name_u]Flip[/name_u]
Vitto
[name_m]Trip[/name_m]
[name_u]Ira[/name_u]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
I also like [name_m]Irving[/name_m] & [name_m]Irwin[/name_m], but fear they’re too crusty & old.
Any ideas on what might inspire me to like boy names?
[name_m]Trip[/name_m] and [name_u]Flip[/name_u] are great. But they need formal versions imo.
[name_m]Irving[/name_m], [name_m]Irwin[/name_m] and [name_u]Ira[/name_u] are wonderful. They are on no way crusty.
[name_m]Chuck[/name_m] out ideas of what others may think and keep rolling them round your head. Which ones feel “right”.
For what it is worth I love [name_u]Francis[/name_u] and have only ever met one my whole.life.
I love [name_u]Francis[/name_u], but it’s popularity in the older gen & papal ties are just too much for my husband.
I would love ideas for long forms of [name_m]Trip[/name_m] & [name_u]Flip[/name_u]…[name_f]My[/name_f] Grandfather & Uncle are named [name_m]Frank[/name_m], does that get me to [name_m]Trip[/name_m]? Not that I could use it
To get to [name_u]Flip[/name_u] the obvious is [name_m]Philip[/name_m] or [name_m]Felipe[/name_m].
[name_m]Trip[/name_m]? Thats a tough one. It just means the third one, so if he had a [name_m]Frank[/name_m] that would work but you say you cant use it.
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]?
