[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is one of my favorite sib-sets… I also like [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Theresa[/name_f].
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] is the first name that comes to mind. I blame [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. But still, I think [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] would be a lovely sister set.
@sorceress, wow, lovely suggestions - I do love [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] a lot, [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Victorine[/name_f] are all fabulous too. [name_f]Mariel[/name_f] appeals to me, I don’t know if I’ve ever heard it before but it’s nice. I like all your suggestions really, but [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] feels very down-to-[name_f]Earth[/name_f] in comparison, it’s been used for so long in the UK now it feels far more classic.
@boyandgirl, @rkrd, @rainerloner - [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] are already on my list; they’re the ones I would agree make brilliant sisters, but they are all reserved to the middle space for various reasons (mostly honoring). [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is also beautiful but it’s my sister’s name, unfortunately.
@finch - I do adore [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] but I’ve always thought of [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] as very similar names… both biblical, old-fashioned but have been very fresh for a few decades, similar letter patterning, and of course the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] reference.
