If You Could Re-Name Yourself

Hey berries! If you could re-name yourself, what would you chose? It might be hard for you, like it is for me. So just write down names that you really love and would consider. Have fun!

I’ve been thinking about this lately! I would keep my middle name but I would change my first. Something calm, serene, uncommon but traditional, long and with a beautiful meaning.
Perhaps… [name_f]Camila[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] or [name_f]Benedicta[/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I would love to be named after a greek goddess/mythological character, like [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Selene[/name_f], [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Circe[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u], [name_f]Cybele[/name_f], or [name_f]Eris[/name_f]. I would keep my middle name though, as it’s pretty and keeps my [name_u]French[/name_u] roots alive!

I would love to completely redo my name! [name_f]My[/name_f] first isn’t too bad but I really didn’t like it as a child, I have no middle (:sob:) and I hate my surname (fortunately SO’s is nicer for future kiddos).

I’d love to be named something strong but feminine, like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Astra[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] or [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. Something Irish in the middle, and a really easy to spell and pronounce surname! Maybe…

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Caoimhe[/name_f] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m]
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Orlaith[/name_f] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m]

My name is unusable in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries, so I am often thinking of new names.
Right now it’s [name_f]Novalie[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u].
Also:

Alabama / [name_f]Louisiana[/name_f] / [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] (for the love for american south)
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_f]Jerusha[/name_f]
[name_f]Zadie[/name_f]
[name_u]Phaedra[/name_u]
[name_f]Joy[/name_f] Glaphira / [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] / [name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] / [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] / [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] / [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] / [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_u]Raven[/name_u]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Danica[/name_f] / [name_f]Dania[/name_f] “[name_u]Dani[/name_u]”

and more

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]!

I feel like [name_u]Skye[/name_u] suits me so much better than my given name. It’s outdoorsy and free spirited (though I might not be cool enough for it). [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a family name, so I would definitely keep some form of it in the middle spot!

Although I love my completely Italian name, I’d probably want a first that’s a bit more unisex, since I’m genderqueer (and we all know Italian doesn’t really do unisex). I would change my last name to be a more Italian-sounding name (my current one is four letters and sounds like [name_u]Rey[/name_u]-uh but is always mispronounced as [name_u]Rye[/name_u]-ah). I would change my last name to Endrizzi or another surname that screams Italian. I’ve always loved Endrizzi, though.

I’d probably go with one of these:
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]Reign[/name_u]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_u]Revere[/name_u]
[name_u]Revere[/name_u] [name_u]Everest[/name_u]
[name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]

I love unique, kind of intense names. I’m so indecisive, it would take me forever to rename myself! I sometimes go by [name_u]Roux[/name_u] as a gender-neutral name so maybe I’d include that in there somewhere.

Ooh this is a good question!
I think I’d like something quite dramatic and a little bit out there. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is unique outside of where I live but here it’s sooooo common. Some choices:
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]

I would also have loved to have a more gender neutral name, just because I think they evoke a strong presence.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]

#1 [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] Reisl / [name_f]Elara[/name_f] Reisl nn [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]
#2 [name_u]Romy[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
#3 [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] Reisl nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u]

Reisl/Hazel would be the honor name I never officially received.
[name_f]Elara[/name_f] and [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] have bonus points for having workable gender neutral nicknames that I could get out of them.
