If you had to choose between the two which would you name your little boy, [name]Tristan[/name] or [name]Tiernan[/name]?
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Tristan[/name]! I plan on naming my two boys (even though I don’t want to have children, theoretically, if I had two boys) [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Magnus[/name]. I guess [name]Tiernan[/name] is more original/distinctive, but I so love [name]Tristan[/name]… [name]Just[/name] whatever you do, don’t name his sister [name]Isolde[/name]!
[name]Tristan[/name] all the way.
Oh, I think [name]Tiernan[/name] is so interesting and fresh! I go with that one!
I would definitely go with [name]Tiernan[/name] - its a lot more interesting than [name]Tristan[/name], which I just associate with a troublemaker, annoying little boy for some reason.
[name]Tiernan[/name]. I’ve never been a fan of [name]Tristan[/name].
[name]Hi[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name] is my top name for a boy, so I’d persoally go with that, but also agree with the poster who said that [name]Tiernan[/name] is interesting & fresh and different - so sorry, I’m not very helpful - both great names!!!
I like both, but prefer [name]Tiernan[/name] - really interesting to read the “troublemaker” perception of [name]Tristan[/name] – that’s the same reasoning for me. I work in education and have known two, who were both very sweet and adorable and lovable but also real handfuls! On the other hand, I think [name]Tristan[/name] will be easier for people to hear and spell, so that’s a plus. They’re both good names, good luck whichever you decide!
[name]Tristan[/name], mostly because even I’m not sure how to say [name]Tiernan[/name]. (teer-nan? teer-nahn? tee-er-nan?)
I choose [name]Tristan[/name]!
I like both, but if I had to choose, I’d probably go with [name]Tristan[/name]. For some reason, [name]Tiernan[/name] is kind of hard for me to say aloud, especially multiple times in a row. [name]Tristan[/name], though more popular, has a literary background that I like.
Also, it’d be helpful to know if there are there any other deciding factors? Does one sound better with your last name? Middle name choices? Potential (or existing) sibling names?
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
[name]Tiernan[/name] I love!
