Lavinia-May / Rosa-Marie / Elsa-Frida + Johan-Moritz
i would name a girl mia-rose very happily! for a boy, i’m kind of liking morgan-jude.
I adore double barrels! I have babysat a S@r@h-Cl@ire for three years
so her name is my absolute favorite double barrel.
(I also absolutely fell for the name Mary-Margaret when I watched One Upon a Time a few years back, and Mary-Kate/Mary-Katherine is absolutely one of my loves)
If I gave a daughter a double-barreled name, I really like Frances-Kate, Florence-Rose, or Alice-Katherine. And for a son, I like Otis-George.
Tomine-Kessem or Sindri-Snær
100% Luna-Fae for a girl. For a boy maybe Louis-Valentine (as Lou-ee).
I think:
Jilly-Mae and Raffy-Jem
or
Heidi-Rose and Rory-Jude
Cleo-Jane and Arthur-James!
I love double-barrel names, but I would not use one myself. I think they look best using shorter names and I just like my names longer.
If I had to, they would be Sylvia-Genevieve and Arthur-Caius ![]()
Fun fact, I recently got a new passport and apparently I have a double-barrel name ![]()
I thought it’s my younger sister who has it, but nope, it’s me
Pfahahah
I mean she is often called by both of her names (fn and mn) and I’m never ever ever called by both… (both of my names are longer and both of hers are a bit shorter). How I never bothered to think about it?!…. And I am the one who claims to like names ![]()
I have loved this name for as long as I can remember. It is one if the few doubled barrel names I really love and would use. I generally find double barrel names to be to over-the-top for my personal taste. [name_f]My[/name_f] 2nd daughter’s middle name was almost Lida-Rose. Sometimes I still have regret that we did not use it and she is almost 13.
For girls I like:
Mary-Jane (I know, but i like the sound)
Flora-Belle
Winnie-Belle
Clara-Belle / [name_f]Clarabelle[/name_f]
Nellie-Jane
I don’t think i’ve ever thought of double barrel names for boys, so maybe:
Kit-Elias
Sully-Ford (short for [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] Clifford)
Felix-Jude
Elsie-Ruth and Tommy-Jack
Sarah-Jane is my number one favorite followed by Emma-Louise.
I also like a lot of girl’s names that could be spelled as a double barrel like Mary-Anne, Rose-Anna, Anna-Belle, Anne-Elise, Julie-Anna, Rose-Marie, etc. but I prefer the all one name spellings of these.
For a boy, maybe Leo-Henry?
i’ve been loving double barrelled names lately!!! for a girl, i’d go with martha mae, winifred jo or greta lu.
for boys, i’ve always loved double barrelled names with john in them, so i’d probably go with john harper, john caspar, john fletcher or john gardener. ![]()
I think today I would go with [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f] for a girl and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] for a boy!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite double barrel has always been [name_f]Della[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]!
Minnie-Rose and Felix-James
Emmie-Kate & Kitt-Levi
Mary-Elizabeth
Anna-Louise
Ella-Rose
Victoria-Grace
I don’t really have a double barrel name as much as two names mushed together, but I like Haya-Shula (or Hayshula) or Mae-lee (or Maeli)
