I have often wondered, “if I was famous, would I still love the style of name that I do, or would I use the wacky, eccentric type of names celebrities use?” Think the Kardashian’s kids (North, [name_m]Psalm[/name_m], [name_f]Stormi[/name_f], [name_f]Aire[/name_f], etc), [name_f]Nara[/name_f] Smith’s kids (Rumble [name_f]Honey[/name_f], [name_m]Slim[/name_m] [name_m]Easy[/name_m], and [name_f]Whimsy[/name_f] Lou), or even the original: [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] Paltrow’s kid [name_f]Apple[/name_f].
If you were famous, and had to name your child in a similar way, what would you pick?
I love this!! I’d probably name a girl [name_f]Lively[/name_f], [name_f]Hero[/name_f], [name_f]Mayfair[/name_f], or [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]
and a boy [name_m]Valentine[/name_m], [name_m]Mariner[/name_m], or Valerian!!
i don’t think my style would change much— my husband loves more classic, family middles, so maybe things would look a bit different that way!
for example, our little one who’s due in may will most likely be shepherd james or lenora mary, middle names honoring my great grandfather and my husband’s grandmother. but if i had to go more fun in the middle, which i would be open to, my babies would be shepherd brave and lenora meadow 🪻
I don’t like too out there names, so maybe [name_f]Renata[/name_f], [name_f]Saylor[/name_f], or or [name_f]Celandine[/name_f] for girls; [name_m]Rowan[/name_m], [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m], or [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] for boys; and [name_m]Halston[/name_m] for either gender. (Rowan could also potentially work both ways)
For a girl I might go for [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] (my favorite GP name), [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] “Percy”, or [name_f]July[/name_f], and for a boy maybe [name_m]Regulus[/name_m], [name_m]Zephyr[/name_m], [name_m]Selwyn[/name_m], or Corduroy!
I am also swooning on [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m]! Such little gems of names for your little one. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] they arrive earthside as healthy as possible.
If I were to step out of my comfort zone, I would probably do [name_f]Polexia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] / [name_f]Jade[/name_f] or [name_f]Iridessa[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Nicanor[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m] for a boy. Otherwise, I would stick with my beloved [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m].
I’m weirdly into [name_f]Memory[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Orchard[/name_m] [name_m]Everson[/name_m], @seawillow . They are so sparkly.
If I was famous, I don’t think I would give my child a very different name. We never know who our children will become in the future. Considering that, I would never give them a very unique name that would only work in a celebrity world. Many celebrities’ children have fulfilled and happy lifes away from the spotlight.
That being said, I would give them traditional first names with fun middle names, which I consider to be my style, anyway. It would be easier to use some of my guilty pleasures like [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f], [name_m]Fénix[/name_m], Boaventura or [name_f]Melodia[/name_f]. But, at the end, I would probably still land on [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_m]Maximo[/name_m], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] or [name_m]Frederico[/name_m] as first names.
I would probably have to live in a futuristic world, in a different country, surrounded by children and adults with unique names to alter my naming style.
