What are your feelings on [name_f]Imelda[/name_f]? I don’t see it very often on here, but I think it’s super pretty. I like it more as a middle name

I know some might think of [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m] but I mostly have a religious associate with the name in [name_u]Blessed[/name_u] [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] Lambertini. I know one baby [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] who I am guessing was named after her

[name_f]My[/name_f] first association was from [name_u]Coco[/name_u], as well! I guess I kind of see it as an “older” name, but I like the look at the sound!

I think [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] is sweet! I also think of [name_u]Coco[/name_u] and Bl. [name_f]Imelda[/name_f]. I like the nickname [name_f]Imma[/name_f]!

I know an [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] who goes by [name_u]Mel[/name_u], I think it’s a lovely name

I know young twins called [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] and Ari@. [name_f]My[/name_f] first impression was that [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] was a clunky vintage name and I wasn’t sure about it. However I have now warmed to it quite a bit.
@Raven-1013 Nn [name_u]Mel[/name_u] is genius! [name_f]Immy[/name_f] would also work.

I think it’s beautiful. I’ve always liked this name. I associate it with [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] Staunton as well. I don’t know much about [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m] and I can’t see the association being an issue unless you live in the Philippines.

I think [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] is gorgeous! I have both of your associations, but neither one is particularly strong to me. It seems usable (to me)!

This is my first association too, and it’s an inexplicably strong one! Definitely not a “one person name though,” and it’s got a certain vintage charm, like a “less-trendy” alternative to Imogen or Zelda!

She’s not my style personally, but I think Imelda is nice and definitely usable :slight_smile:
