What genre or style would you throw [name_u]Grady[/name_u] into? [name_u]Or[/name_u] who do picture wearing the name?
To me it initially sounds like an old school name, but with the rise of so many Gray/Grayson names, I’m worried it would look trendy or get lumped together with them?
Also, does it just make you think of gravy? [name_u]Genuine[/name_u] concern. [name_u]Or[/name_u] are there any other bad associations with it I might not be aware of?
It’s giving modern American vibes to me! It does make me think of gravy definitely not the worst association or anything like that, but it’s part of why I don’t personally love the name.
I actually love [name_u]Grady[/name_u]! I never see people talk about it here, but it’s got a very, like…small town [name_f]Americana[/name_f] 80’s vibe to me. Retro and warm.
I went to school with a [name_u]Grady[/name_u] and no one ever called him Gravy. Didn’t even occur to me.
It does feel modern American to me. I dont think of Gravy but it does remind me of

[name_f]My[/name_f] grandpa’s middle name is [name_u]Grady[/name_u] and every time I’ve heard it I’ve never thought of gravy, but I can see how someone would. It’s very vintage, old-school, and classy.
I associate it with a hospital in [name_f]Atlanta[/name_f] that my parents have stories about working in many years ago but I can see how it might get confused with gravy.
We have neighbors with the surname [name_u]Grady[/name_u]. I associate it more with “rhymes with Brady” rather than “gravy.”
I know of a baby [name_u]Grady[/name_u] born this summer. His siblings are V!viane, R!chard Edg@r IV “Quinn,” and Dav!d [name_u]Henry[/name_u].
