Recently, I decided to narrow down my favourite boys names to my top 2.
The problem is I can’t decide on my favourite out of them. So, I need some help!
My top two:
- [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]
- [name_m]Walter[/name_m]
Thanks
Recently, I decided to narrow down my favourite boys names to my top 2.
The problem is I can’t decide on my favourite out of them. So, I need some help!
My top two:
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] is adorable and respectable too. [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] is very surname-y to me and that just isn’t my style.
[name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_m]Nelson[/name_m] just makes me think of the sailor
I was also worried that [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] sounded surname-y.
Why don’t you do [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] or [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]? I personally like [name_m]Walter[/name_m] “[name_m]Walt[/name_m]”
It appears that I’m in the minority here, but I prefer [name_m]Nelson[/name_m]. [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] is technically a surname, but it doesn’t feel like a “surname name” to me. To me [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] is very “geek chic” which I love. [name_m]Walter[/name_m] is nice but a tad stuffy and the biggest downfall for me is that I can’t stand any of the nicknames for it ([name_u]Wally[/name_u], [name_m]Walt[/name_m]).
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] is one of my favorites!
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] has a vintage vibe going for it. [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] has a “geek chic” vibe, tho some may say more geek and less chic (no offense). [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] like [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] or [name_m]Harold[/name_m]… You might be ahead of the curve with [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] coming into fashion, whereas with [name_m]Walter[/name_m] you’d be right on time. (If you care about it being fashionable!)
On the other hand, [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] [name_m]Mandela[/name_m] is a strong namesake!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]! Such a respectable yet still adorable name. Although I don’t mind surnames used as first names, [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] just doesn’t do anything for me. I definitely see the “geek chic” people mentioned before
Much prefer [name_m]Walter[/name_m], though I agree that you’d probably be “ahead of the curve” in going with [name_m]Nelson[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Walter[/name_m]! I think [name_m]Walt[/name_m] is a cute nickname, as is [name_u]Wally[/name_u] (reminds me of [name_u]Wally[/name_u] Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver!). [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] to me sounds kind of geeky. [name_m]Walter[/name_m]'s a gentleman.
I think both are great names! I personally prefer [name_m]Nelson[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] best, I personally don’t like how [name_m]Walter[/name_m] sounds. However the suggestion of using one of the 2 as the fn and the other as the mn is a good idea also
Definitely [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. I love the nn [name_m]Walt[/name_m]!
I love, love [name_m]Walter[/name_m] and all of his nicknames.
I don’t care for [name_m]Nelson[/name_m], tbh.
Is there a special meaning behind either one? I prefer [name_m]Nelson[/name_m].
[name_m]Walter[/name_m], by far. I’ve never liked [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] and for some reason it makes me think of a crazy guy with a god complex. [name_m]Walter[/name_m] is so much better.
