Lois is beautiful and timeless! You have amazing names  I especially love [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] and [name_f]Heloise[/name_f]!!

Thank you! I know for many these names are quaint to the point of ugliness, but I love them. I hear that [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] was the [name_f]Emma[/name_f] of her earlier era.

To me, I feel like they’re just starting to shed dated-ness (?) and become vintage. I really love that little niche of names!

Yes! And isn’t it fun waiting to see which will break through…

I like [name_f]Lois[/name_f]! More than [name_u]Louise[/name_u] to be honest. I’d be more concerned about the Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m] association than the old lady one.

I love [name_f]Lois[/name_f]! It’s one of the names I wish would become more popular. I love [name_f]Lois[/name_f] [name_u]Lowry[/name_u], and my husband’s grandma is [name_f]Lois[/name_f], which I think would be a nice connection, but he doesn’t like it  But I would love to see a little baby [name_f]Lois[/name_f]!

Fortunately, I’ve never seen the Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m] and don’t seem likely to!

This is my only concern about this name. I’ve known only one [name_f]Lois[/name_f], a family friend for years, and she was a lovely human being who made me love the name, but Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m] totally ruined the name for me :slightly_frowning_face: I don’t think it’s unusable, necessarily, but I personally couldn’t.

[name_f]Lois[/name_f] is very soft and sweet while still being sophisticated and solid.

I think it works very well especially with the popularity of [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], etc.

(Also I love the other names you listed. [name_f]Irene[/name_f] is close to the top of my list and I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who likes [name_f]Gladys[/name_f])

I love [name_f]Lois[/name_f]! I’m also a fan of all the other names you listed, so maybe I’m biased but I think they’re all really sweet and quaint. I’d love to hear [name_f]Lois[/name_f], [name_f]Gladys[/name_f], or [name_f]Irene[/name_f] on a youngin!

I love [name_f]Lois[/name_f]! It sounds so sweet to me. It’s not a dated name in the UK (at least not in my area). I don’t know any older women named [name_f]Lois[/name_f], but I have met a couple around the same age as me or younger (so Millennials or [name_f]Gen[/name_f] Zers). To me it seems like a classic-yet-underused Biblical name.

Love [name_f]Lois[/name_f]! It’s so cute. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f] used to be my top combo.

It’s quite popular here in the UK – Top 250 or close to it.

I like it, it doesn’t seem at all dated to me, more sleek and underused.

With [name_f]Iris[/name_f] so popular now, [name_f]Lois[/name_f] seems like wonderful alternative with much of the same appeal, but far less popular.
