What do you think of the name on it’s own and does it work with the other names? It’s the name of a character on an Australian soap that I watch and it’s grown on me so much recently!
I’m not a huge fan of word names… but [name]Indigo[/name] does have a really cool sound so I can see the appeal.
not sure it goes with your other names, maybe a possible middle name?
Btw, I’ve seen [name]Mirabelle[/name] on here alot and never considered it before, then it dawned on me…i had a roommate in college named [name]Maribel[/name] ! I had never heard of it before her and thought it was beautiful! her mn is [name]Lourdes[/name], a stunning combination. She had such a sweet and gentle spirit too so now I joined the [name]Mirabelle[/name] bandwagon, tho I prefer [name]Maribel[/name]
Hehe. I love both [name]Mirabelle[/name] and [name]Maribel[/name]! I suggested [name]Maribel[/name] to my partner before, he liked it but prefers [name]Mirabelle[/name] and while I like both I think I prefer [name]Mira[/name] to [name]Mari[/name] as a nick name so for now [name]Mirabelle[/name] wins out. I’ll keep [name]Maribel[/name] as a back up though in case [name]Mirabelle[/name] doesn’t fit when the time comes!
I am a huge fan of [name]Indigo[/name] as a girls name, so in that respect, an absolute yay.
…But…I’m not sure its the same style as your other names. It doesn’t sound bad with them at all, I just feel like its a bit off somehow… which seems awful because they’re all lovely names!
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Laura[/name]!
I really like [name]Indigo[/name], it’s a great color and a great name, but I don’t think it fits style wise with your other girl names, sorry : ( It just doesn’t seem as feminine as [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], and [name]Penelope[/name]. But it is a gorgeous name!
I was just thinking, to me [name]Claudia[/name] sounds Italian, [name]Mirabelle[/name] sounds French, and [name]Penelope[/name] Greek. So, I was thinking of countries around the Mediterranean Sea which led me to Spain, and I looked up Spanish names and saw [name]Inez[/name]. [name]How[/name] do you feel about that? You liked [name]Alice[/name], didn’t you? I find [name]Inez[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] to have some similar feel to them. Anyway, it’s was just a thought : P I hope you find your fourth name soon : )
Nay! I dislike [name]Indigo[/name], it sounds masculine and hippie to me. Your other names- [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Penelope[/name]- are so gorgeous and regal, and [name]Indigo[/name] doesn’t fit that at all.
I don’t think it could be more different from [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Mirabelle[/name]. It doesn’t have the elegance or femininity that the others do. It’s extremely masculine sounding to me (especially because of its similarity to [name]Inigo[/name]) and not a classic or vintage-y namelike I would consider the others to be. I think [name]India[/name] or [name]Indira[/name] may be a better fit. However, I think it would be a really great and surprising middle for a classic first- [name]Celia[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] are very interesting sounding to me.
[name]Love[/name] the trend of color names, but this one sounds and feels too much like “[name]Inigo[/name]” to me. In fact, at first I mis-read it that way. A little masculine. I also don’t think it’s quite as feminine as the other lovely names you chose. [name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]India[/name]? A little more feminine, I think, and close in sound and spelling to [name]Indigo[/name]. It also has the exotic feel of the other names. But that’s just my two cents.
[name]Love[/name] it and the nn [name]Indi[/name], though I prefer [name]India[/name]. My husband loves it too and it is actually still on our list towards the top, even though it doesn’t end in a. [name]Indigo[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is beautiful.
In [name]Canada[/name], [name]Indigo[/name] is the name of a books and music store chain. I think [name]Indigo[/name] sounds nice but doesn’t really go with your other names of [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Mirabelle[/name]. Something like [name]Juno[/name] would be a better “match” if you want a name ending in “o”. It’s not fair that the boys have alot of cool “o” names ([name]Orlando[/name], [name]Milo[/name], [name]Hugo[/name], [name]Arlo[/name] etc…) but the girls are sadly lacking in choice.
I think I like [name]Indigo[/name] better for a boy but I can see why you like it. I love color/word names too. I think it might depend on the sibset, where a girl named [name]Indigo[/name] would work if she had a brother named…[name]Stone[/name], or something really masculine. Your other names are lovely too.
I know someone who named her daughter Indiga. I also like [name]Indira[/name]. I don’t really like [name]Indigo[/name] very much though - it sounds too androgynous. [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname of [name]Indy[/name].
Along the lines of the “dig” sound: I knew someone in high school named [name]Digna[/name]… the name is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. I don’t really like it… but at the same time I find something strangely appealing about it. It is Latin for “worthy.”
Thanks guys, thats pretty much the response I was expectin, nice name but doesn’t work with the other names. Hmm. I guess I agree really!
Bancios - I love [name]India[/name] too and would probably prefer that but to me it seems too close to [name]Claudia[/name] And I prefer [name]Claudia[/name].
Svea - you’ve hit the nail on the head regardin european names! I guess I think of my name style as Euro feminine! I love Greek, Italian and French names but I’m always looking for Spanish names I love as Spain is probably my fav place in the world and I’d love to honour it with a name! I do tend to think of [name]Claudia[/name] as more Spanish than Italian though but I particularly like names that can work in all these countries. My first instinct with [name]Inez[/name] was to say no but I’m not sure why so I’ll mull it over a bit. It is a pretty name and I guess the nn Inni is kinda cute! Any other Spanish names you can throw at me to match my other names would be awesome too! I don’t like repeating initials so no C, P, M or L’s. [name]Lennox[/name] is my fav boys name. I would particularly love any Spanish flower names or anything that could give me the nickname [name]Allie[/name], [name]Annie[/name], [name]Bea[/name], [name]Romy[/name] or [name]Indi[/name], but anything you think would match my other names and isn’t too popular would be fantastic
I say yes to the name and yes to it being a part of a sib-set for the following reason:
[name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name] and [name]Indigo[/name].
I think the closest you have to an “identical names” sib-set is [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Mirabelle[/name], that being said, [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Mirabelle[/name] give off different vibes and [name]Claudia[/name] has a totally unique vibe for the set. [name]Indigo[/name] will only enhance your ability to choose names that create a whole using many different puzzle pieces.
I say well done!
What are you thinking for mn’s? PM me, combos are my obsession, I would love to help out!
Hm. [name]Laura[/name], it’s a tough call. To me, the name doesn’t have as much of a feminine flair to it as [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Mirabelle[/name]. I like that it presents a different image in being a word name - a color name - though, but it doesn’t feel “right.” I’d substitute something like [name]Violet[/name] in there for a more well-rounded sibling set, still thoroughly vintage and feminine, but also subtly naturally and wholly color-centric. [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], and [name]Violet[/name] would be very pretty, but I can’t remember your own opinion on [name]Violet[/name] - I just like [name]Claudie[/name], [name]Penny[/name], [name]Mira[/name], and [name]Vi[/name] together!

PS [name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Indigo[/name] would be divine if you’re open to switching around your combos…
100% nay. If I met a sibset of [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Indigo[/name], I’d expect [name]Indigo[/name] to have been named by a different parent and I’d feel extremely sorry for her. It’s masculine, trendy, and I find it really unattractive. [name]How[/name] about [name]Indira[/name]? I feel like [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Indira[/name] would make a interesting, multinational group of names.
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Laura[/name], I read your last post regarding your love from everything Spanish so here are some suggestions for you to consider for a sister sibling for [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Mirabel[/name] and [name]Lennox[/name]. I tried to find names with different letters and endings. Not all of these I like so I’ll just bold my faves. [name]Hope[/name] you find one you like. Spanish flower names
