What do you think of when you hear the name:

[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]

I had originally posted about deciding between [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]. Now I have been thinking about the middle name [name]Beatrice[/name] (DH won’t go for it as a first name).

I was just wondering if anyone thought it was a little too “[name]Golden[/name] Girl”??? Getting really close to my due date and having anxiety about not having a name settled!!

Thanks for the help!!

I love [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]! [name]Both[/name] are names that I really like, and I think the flow is great.

I do think that it might strike a lot of people as being old lady-ish, especially outside of the name nerd circle. I know that I told my mom that I liked the name [name]Estelle[/name] and she made a face and said it was too old lady-ish. I don’t think that “old lady” is neccessarily the word connotation in the world, but it’s there.

I’m not quite sure why, but to me [name]Estelle[/name] seems elfin and almost otherworldly.

I love the name [name]Estelle[/name]! So pretty, feminine, and classy : ) I like it on its own but love [name]Ellie[/name] or [name]Elle[/name] as a nn too! It does not come across [name]Golden[/name] Girlish to me at all. I prefer [name]Margaret[/name] as a MN, but [name]Beatrice[/name] is very nice too. Good [name]Luck[/name]!

If I’m honest: It sounds a bit stuffy to me. But the names themselves are fine, I guess it’s just the combo for me.

I love [name]Estelle[/name], not really [name]Beatrice[/name] though.

Amazing combo! I’ve only recently become obsessed with the name [name]Estelle[/name] so I’m probably still in that blissful honeymoon phase, but I think it’s so lovely and vintage. To be honest, one of the things I love most about [name]Estelle[/name] is the “[name]Golden[/name] Girls” connection but that’s because [name]Estelle[/name] Getty’s character [name]Sophia[/name] reminds me so much of my late Mom (funny, spunky, opinionated). To me, those are admirable characteristics so I would never let the association deter me from using it.

Thank you [name]Lori[/name] [name]Johnson[/name]!! I’m kind of a big GG fan (in the comfort of my own home) it’s not something that is “public knowledge”. But I find [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] flows so much better!!

*** And thanks for commenting on my post last week as well!! Much appreciated!!

[name]Demi[/name] - It is one of the reasons I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]. I just thought adding the [name]Beatrice[/name] might be overkill!!!

Honestly I think ‘old woman’. Sorry. I like old names but that one is just a bit much for me.

It’s funny, I absolutely adore [name]Estelle[/name], and I like [name]Beatrice[/name] quite a lot too, but the combination just feels a little off to my ears. I would prefer [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], personally - or even better, [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a personal preference! Your daughter will have a lovely name, whatever you choose.

I like [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] as it has a vintage feel. [name]Estelle[/name] has lots of nn potentials too. I would find it hard not to call her [name]Elly[/name] [name]Bea[/name] as a toddler.
Can I make another suggestion? Since you like [name]Adelaide[/name]…

[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Adeline[/name] ryhmes in a pleasing way and is similar to [name]Adelaide[/name].
