I don’t think it’s a problem at all! I actually think it’s kind of a sweet way to honor her daddy.
When I first saw the title of your post, that’s what I assumed it was.
BTW, [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Dalia[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name]! [name]Dahlia[/name] is a huge favorite of mine right now, and I hope to use [name]Ayelet[/name] for my first daughter ([name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name] [name]Grace[/name]).
I hope this helps! Good luck!
Beautiful name and I agree I think it’s kinda sweet.
Aside from bad words or connotations I don’t think initials hold that much weight!
I don’t think it will be a problem. DAD is not like having the initial ASS, or FUK. And since she’s a girl, it’s likely that the majority of her adult life she will have her husband’s last name, and her initials won’t be DAD anyway!
I think its cute too! And I love [name]Dalia[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name]. So pretty and fresh.
[name]Dalia[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name] is lovely. DAD initials definitely aren’t a problem.
Wow, I’m so excited to see the responses so far! I really was expecting to be warned against the initials DAD, especially for a girl. [name]Glad[/name] to see you all think it’s not a big deal. And thanks for the positive feedback on [name]Dalia[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name]!
Anybody out there disagree with previous posters? If not, maybe we’ve found our name!!!
I would be proud to be D.A.D. grandma! I think the name is lovely!!
The message is pretty loud and clear, but I just thought I’d add my voice to the chorus of people encouraging you that the initials DAD are NOT a problem! [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name] is a wonderful combination (though probably not something DH would go for, so if your hubby is on board with this combo then go for it!) and, I think it’s been said on these message boards a lot, children often don’t even know each others middle names during the school years. [name]Even[/name] if they did, some children my think it’s kind of cool that her initials spell something and because they don’t spell anything offensive/vulgar/tease-worthy, then it won’t be a problem.
I knew a girl who had the initials P.M.S. until she got married and she made it through life without hating her parents for that!
