I’m officially in the third trimester tomorrow, woohoo! Still not much closer to choosing a name for our little girl, though :/. I’d love if you could give input on the following, and possibly even offer some suggestions. Surname starts with P, three syllables. I know some people view [name_u]Remy[/name_u] as strictly masculine - that’s fine, but I’m not looking for comments on the first name :).
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] is actually a pretty sweet name :). From your list I really like [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. I love the name [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] however I think the M sound is too prominent with [name_u]Remy[/name_u]. I like [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and I do think it works but the others I listed above I think work better :).
Here’s a few suggestions…
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Nyx[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Annora[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Anabella[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Georgina[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Carmella[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Sabina[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Quintessa[/name_f]
I like all of your choices and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is my favorite. If you use [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] I don’t think it needs to be spelled with the extra -te. I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] on its own.
Other ideas:
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] (Pronounced Neev or [name_u]Nev[/name_u])
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Freya[/name_f]
I think [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is the best fit geographically and flow wise. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] , [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] would also be delightful
I never cared much for [name_u]Remy[/name_u] but I remember seeing [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] in your signature a while back and thinking how absolutely beautiful the combo was. Please stick with it! I also like [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] but it just doesn’t have the same spark [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has with [name_u]Remy[/name_u].
I really love [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but all of your choices are nice. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would also work well.
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is easily my favourite - it’s perfect! [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is second (and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would work). Am less keen on [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] as a bit of a mouthful after [name_u]ReMy[/name_u] and while I love the name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], the “vowel” ending of [name_u]Remy[/name_u] moving into a vowel doesn’t work as well imo.
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is gorgeous too but perhaps a bit close to “[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]”?
I actually see [name_u]Remy[/name_u] as a feminine name, & my immediate thought was [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Other options & apologies for any repeats:
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a wonderful choice.
I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] must be the most common mn in the world.
I like [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Cathryn[/name_f] too… the 2 syllable [name_f]Cathryn[/name_f], not the 3 syllable ones ([name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catharine[/name_f]).
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] is a great name - short, spunky, and cute! I’d pair it with a middle that’s long, classic, and powerful, and from your ideas so far, I’d guess you’re already thinking along those same lines.
I like the sound of a three-syllable middle with [name_u]Remy[/name_u], with a strong, hard-consonant start, so my favorite from your list is [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] nearly hits all these points too, but I agree with other posters that the repeated ‘m’ sound throws off the flow of the name. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would be my second and third favorites, but I think [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has all the best qualities of both.
