I quite enjoy the name [name_m]Invictus[/name_m]. It’s the title of a poem by [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Henley[/name_m]. That poem represents the resilience of human spirit. [name_m]Not[/name_m] to mention, the name itself means ‘unconquerable’ or ‘undefeated’.

I love the fact that it’s from a poem, since my father used to write poetry. I also love the powerful feeling it invokes, like a more unique form of [name_m]Victor[/name_m].

I’m looking for opinions. What do you think of it? [name_f]Any[/name_f] potential nicknames? [name_m]Other[/name_m] associations? Concerns?
I have heard of that, but I get more people thinking about the poem than I do the games, so I don’t mind. [name_f]My[/name_f] main concern is the amount of people saying it sounds pretentious, which I don’t think it does.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was the [name_m]Invictus[/name_m] [name_m]Games[/name_m] as well.

[name_m]The[/name_m] [name_m]Invictus[/name_m] [name_m]Games[/name_m], founded by [name_f]Prince[/name_f] [name_m]Harry[/name_m], is an Olympic style of athletic competition for injured service men and women to come together in celebration of their resilience in spite of what they have been through in the service. He took the name from the [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Henley[/name_m] poem.
Very bold [name_f][/name_f]- but reminds me of [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Victor[/name_m] (as you mention), and [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]. I like the poetic feel and it does seem to match with contemporary choices like [name_m]Chosen[/name_m], [name_m]Noble[/name_m], [name_m]Saint[/name_m], etc.
[name_f][/name_f]
I do think of both the games and the poem.
