Irish and Persian Names

I have been posting in the girl’s forum about names for our little girl, but I am really becoming addicted to names lol So I am looking for suggestions of Irish and Persian/Arabic names for boys. I am sure we will have more children in the future and this way I can satisfy my current craving for names  What are your favorite Irish names and Perian or Arabic names. My husband is Persian/Arabic and I am Irish. We are both Catholic and would prefer not to have any names associated with the Islamic relgion (we don’t not mean this offensively we just think it would make things easier) Thanks for any help you provide.

My favorite Persian names for boys are [name]Amir[/name], [name]Jahan[/name], and Bijan.

What about [name]Dara[/name]? It’s a male name both in [name]Ireland[/name] and in Iran, and I believe it’s also the name of a Catholic saint.

I love [name]Kian[/name], and have for some time. In Gaelic it means ‘Ancient’, and in Persian where it is called Kianoush the meaning is ‘royal’ or ‘king.’

Handsome indeed!

Hello,

I too love this name and have used it for my Irish/Arabian boy ([name]Kyan[/name]), I would like to find a similar name, for a new boy, that is also Irish and Arabic,

the name I pick needs to exist in arabic (otherwise the child will be given a random arab name)

any tips?

thank you

I love [name]Seamus[/name]!

I think [name]Isla[/name]/[name]Ayla[/name] would work for a girl, but no boy ideas.

Hello,

thank you for your replies, I love them,

we are leaning, at the moment, toward ‘[name]Laith[/name]’ (Arabic boys name ‘[name]Lion[/name]’), it sounds Irish but it doesn’t have an Irish counterpart

still looking for a Arabic name that looks and sounds Irish

thanks
