[name_m]How[/name_m] do you all feel about a 2-2-2 syllable breakdown in a full name? I know it’s not ideal, but does [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] “[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lon” feel too monotonous? The other contender is [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], which gets rid of the syllable problem to an extent. We both like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] better, but only by a little bit.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] or [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]?
It’s more about the sound of the names together than the number of syllables. I think [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] “[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lon” sounds great.
I think the 2-2-2 thing is fine but what stuck out to me is that [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and Raylon kinda run together. But it’s not enough of a problem to not use [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]–it’s a cute combo!
I think it’s fine! My legal name is 2-2-2 like that, and it flows well because of the sounds/stresses. I agree with pp that [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] runs into the last name a bit, but I definitely prefer [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] to [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], so I’d stick with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. It’s a lovely combo!
I agree! Although I’ve worried about this as well, it seems like it just depends on the names and how they flow together with their various sounds and syllables stresses. We may end up with 2 - 2 - 2 - 2(!) in order to honor family members with two middle names. I kept worrying it might be overkill but when I say the name out loud, it sounds fine because of the variation within each name.
