It wasn’t even in the top 1000 in 2005 & now it’s at 691. Hardly popular, but it’s risen substantially. It’s a family name for me and I always figured I would use it as a middle, but lately I’ve been considering it as a first. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s appeal will grow? What names do you consider it similar to in popularity & vibe?

I can see her getting some more love. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is the name of the main character in the Divergent series by [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] and with the movie coming out next year it’s likely that she’ll see more attention as [name_f]Bella[/name_f] did with Twilight and [name_f]Katniss[/name_f] with the Hunger Games.
Despite all this it’s still on my name list, and I read the books! She mostly goes by the nickname [name_u]Tris[/name_u] so even if you do use [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] as a first name I doubt many will affiliate it with the book/movie as some would with the name [name_f]Katniss[/name_f].
No, I don’t think it will grow in popularity anytime soon unless it is boosted by a celebrity or a popular nn.
I don’t see it growing too much either, not enough for it to become “popular” if you are worried about that. If it’s a name you love don’t worry too much about will it or won’t it become popular. My favorite girl’s name has risen in popularity in last last few years but I can’t help to continue to love it. While it was a big concern to me at first, I realized it shouldn’t deter me from using it because it doesn’t change my love for it.
I actually do think it will make a comeback. Simply because the stats are moving in an upward direction.
I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] will make a slight comeback. However, I don’t believe it will be a top 100 name, I would say it would be around 200-500. So I dont think it will become too popular.
I dont think it would get much higher on the rankings. I think its too old school for this generation. Could work as a middle name though. 
I don’t think it will get too popular (top 100) and 691 isn’t too popular. Also with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] there are many nicknames like [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Beata[/name_f] but with [name_f]Ava[/name_f] its just [name_f]Ava[/name_f], so no nicknames to separate them from the crowd.
This is exactly what I was thinking. To me, it’s similar to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Stella[/name_f].
If you want something more unique, there’s always [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].

It will grow in popularity but I don’t think it will ever be super-popular.
I think it may reach the top 500, but it won’t go much beyond that. That’s not too bad in terms of popularity.
