do you guys think [name_f]Bess[/name_f] or [name_f]Bessie[/name_f] is usable? I really love the idea of using [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] to honor two important people to me, but I’m not sure if [name_f]Bess[/name_f] could be used as a full name.

I personally really love [name_f]Bess[/name_f] on its own! I’ve had her on an off my list for years. [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] is a beautiful combo. I think if [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], and [name_f]Meg[/name_f] work great as standalones [name_f]Bess[/name_f] definitely can too

Absolutely! I adore [name_f]Bess[/name_f] (I like this better if the two as a full name, with [name_f]Bessie[/name_f] as a little pet name for her) and [name_f]Bessie[/name_f]. They’re so so lovely. [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] …they can all stand on their own as full names! Why not [name_f]Bess[/name_f] or [name_f]Bessie[/name_f]? I’d totally name my own girl [name_f]Bess[/name_f] nn [name_f]Bessie[/name_f]. 
I bet @Mary_Rose will have some encouraging love for this one, too.

I think it’s useable! If [name_f]Beth[/name_f] and [name_f]Betty[/name_f] are, then why not [name_f]Bess[/name_f]. 100% agreeing with @snowmaiden

Oh yes I love this one! Would 100 consider it a usable name (I have [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f] on my list); I know a little girl named [name_f]Bessie[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] and she is precious! The name has such a sweet, strong, classic sound to me and I love (wait, already said that. But it bares repeating). I do have the occasional doubt about usability but tbh if [name_f]Tess[/name_f] can be a name, why not Bess?! [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] is lovely

I think it can work. The only [name_f]Bess[/name_f] I have heard of was [name_f]Bess[/name_f] [name_m]Truman[/name_m], First [name_f]Lady[/name_f]. Her real name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

I had a great-great-grandmother whose legal given name was [name_f]Bessie[/name_f]. She was a Ukrainian Jewish immigrant and it was an anglicization of Bassie.
