Do you think Can is a name,
I don‘t think so. It’s strictly a verb in my head. If you want a similar sound I‘d either opt for Cannes or [name_m]Canaan[/name_m].
It’s pretty common where I live. Pronounced like [name_m]Jon[/name_m]
depends where you live. it’d be fine in some countries but i think a little american [name_m]Can[/name_m] would have a hard time.
Not to me, it’s either a verb or an object.
Could be a nickname for eg: [name_u]Callahan[/name_u] though
I don’t think this is an opinion question. It comes up as a Turkish name meaning soul/life right here on nameberry, and clearly is used by people, so it is a name, yes.
It is a name, but would only be usable in countries where [name_f]English[/name_f] isn’t widely used (so Turkey, where I believe the name is from).
It’s listed as a name on Nameberry, so yes, it is a name. If you go to the name page of a name that may feel odd to you, it’ll help explain to you why it’s a name. It’s best to remember there are lots of countries in the world, and lots of different languages. [name_m]Can[/name_m] as an [name_f]English[/name_f] word in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country may not sound like a name, but in other countries or other languages it is one
Definitely agree with @anon73451839, this isnt really an opinion question, as it’s an established name elsewhere in the world!
I know it’s a name but the pronunciation throws me a little
