Not at all, but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be in the 40-60 age range here.
I would say no, not for the current generation of babies, not at all.
Having said that I grew up with a few really unpleasant (and sometimes ‘chavvy’) Claires in the UK in the 80s/90s- but then it as a common name back then so I suppose it was more likely you’d meet people of all personalities with that name.
No, it’s a classic name.
No, not at all. Most [name_f]Claire[/name_f]'s I know are upper class. It’s a classic.
I think it’s not on people over 40 but below that age it normally is. Any [name_u]Clare[/name_u]'s I’ve met over 40ish are generally lovely and somewhat posh but below that I’d say that it’s a chavvy name.
No, it’s your average name here I’d say. I know of a few Claires in their early/mid 40s, but then again I went to school with a [name_f]Claire[/name_f], who was born in the mid 90s. None of them are upper class.
I would say it depends on the age of the person and their middle name. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] could be quite sweet on a baby now - if paired with a traditionally ‘classy’ middle.
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] sound more middle aged than chavvy.
Middle of the road, easy, but beautiful, classic name. I’ve only ever known lovely [name_f]Claire[/name_f]'s, definitely not a chavy name. The [name_f]Claire[/name_f]'s I know we’re born early 90s
Thank you all for your replies.
