Hey berries, I’ve been reading for a while, but new to posting. I would love your opinion on this. Is [name]Evelyn[/name] getting too popular? I actually feel silly that I didn’t even notice it was in the top 100 in the past few years until recently. Its a family name I’ve considered for a while, but now I am hesitant. I have others in mind but [name]Evelyn[/name] has been #1 until this discovery.
I couldnt believe how popular [name]Evelyn[/name] was either. It is even more popular in my state (20 something). Despite its popularity I have never met a young [name]Evelyn[/name]. You might want to check the popularity in your state, it might be lower.
Wow, I just checked the ssa baby name website and I couldn’t believe how popular it is either. That said, I think it’s a beautiful name. I also don’t think it will ever break the top 10 and if you think about how many girls that will have those top 10 names when your child is in school, I don’t think it will be an issue as far as multiples go. Isn’t it weird how names just pop up out of nowhere from obscurity to top 100, even top 20? And sometimes heartbreaking too 
I know! I can’t believe it is that popular. I only recently met a very young baby [name]Evelyn[/name], and I think they call her [name]Evie[/name]. It’s very weird!
Thanks so much for your advice and opinions. I checked my state and its not even in the top 100 so thats good news for me! I have only met one baby named [name]Evelyn[/name], which sparked me to start looking for it on name lists.
I never even would have considered [name]Evelyn[/name] being so popular, then out of nowhere one of my close friends chose it for her girl and another friend’s sister used it a couple of months later! Then I looked it up and saw how far up it was. I’m really surprised how it popped up so quickly.
I’m having a similar problem with the name [name]Lillian[/name], but I do hear about lots of [name]Lily[/name]'s :/.
