Is Henrietta usable?

I have [name]Henrietta[/name] as a middle name for [name]Viola[/name] on my list but I was wondering if it could work as a first name or if it’s too old sounding. Can you picture this on a baby or a child? And also, I don’t like the nicknames [name]Etta[/name], [name]Ettie[/name] or [name]Hettie[/name] so I was think either [name]Henri[/name] or [name]Harry[/name] as a nickname but I don’t know of that would be way too masculine or not. What do you think and are there any other nicknames you know?

YES! YES! YES!

I love the name [name]Henrietta[/name]! It’s lovely, feminime and has class.
As for nicknames, [name]Harry[/name] is perfectly fine, in my opinion. In fact, [name]Georgiana[/name], the Duchess of Devonshire, had a daughter named [name]Henrietta[/name], but throughout her life she was known as [name]Harry[/name]-o

I knew a [name]Henrietta[/name] 15 years ago, she was 18 at the time and had always used the nickname [name]Henri[/name]. It totally suited her and no one gave her a hard time about her boyish name. Of course then the name [name]Henry[/name] was nearly as popular for boys so she was the only [name]Henri[/name] around.

[name]Henrietta[/name] is one of the most aristocratic names you will find around today. I’ve never figured out why her brother [name]Henry[/name] is so popular but [name]Henrietta[/name] gets left behind. It’s definitely usable. I find it sweetly old-fashioned and would be delighted to hear of a girl named [name]Henrietta[/name]. It certainly would be a bold and unexpected choice for a first name. I love [name]Hettie[/name] for a nn!

I love [name]Henrietta[/name]. I don’t find it old sounding at all. It is most definitely usable. I like the nn [name]Hettie[/name] too.

I just love the name [name]Henrietta[/name]! I think this name should really get used and don’t see what people don’t like about it, [name]Henri[/name] is such a adorable nn for it but I would have to say if you were to use the name she might want to be called [name]Etta[/name], [name]Ettie[/name], or [name]Hettie[/name] so if you really don’t like those nn’s that would play a factor. I love all the nickname possibilities with this name!

Oh so cute! I would not use [name]Harry[/name] as the nn though. Not a fan of nn in general. Why choose an adorable name and not use it?

I love [name]Henry[/name] and I love [name]Henrietta[/name]! Nickname [name]Henri[/name] would be so sweet. Other nicknames you could get from [name]Henrietta[/name]: [name]Henny[/name] (this is the one I think I’d use the most! Especially when she’s a baby - so cute!) and maybe even [name]Hank[/name]?

I’m glad so many people like it! I just might switch it to a first name on my list now

Well, I’ll be the odd one out and admit I don’t really love it, it still feels very old to me. Although meeting a cute little girl with that name would probably change that some : D. I really would advise against [name]Harry[/name] though - not because it’s too masculine per se but it just seems there’s already such teasing potential with that name for a boy and it would be even worse for a girl. [name]Henri[/name] would be OK.
