Is it okay??

Would it be okay to have two daughters named [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] Svala and [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] Bryndís since both first names sound so alike? Thanks for the feedback in advance.

I think they’re too close for sisters, personally. My brother and my nicknames are very similar (one letter difference) and we always got confused as to who my mother was asking for. Sadly, I think that’s the case with [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f]. Both are lovely, but maybe use one and leave the other for the middle spot.

I agree that [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] are too close (although they look worlds apart!), sorry! I think [name_f]Katerina[/name_f] [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] Svala (or [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] Bryndis!) would be brilliant, though! Or even [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f].

In English they’d be too close for me.
However, both names look very exotic so I’m not sure what language they’d be pronounced in and I & E as well as W & V can have very different sounds in other languages, so it really depends.

To my understanding, [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] is an -eh sound and [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] an -ee sound, yes? (Let me know if I have this wrong.) If so, they are quite similar. To me, not enough so to be a deal breaker, but definitely enough that it’s a fair concern.

I have no idea how to prn them, but they don’t seem remotely close to me.
