Is Kurt too "curt"?

I like the name [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] but I worry people would just think of the word, which isn’t overly pleasant. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think this is an issue? What do you think of [name_m]Kurt[/name_m]?

I know [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] could help make it more “name” than “word” but I don’t really like [name_u]Curtis[/name_u].

I don’t know what the word curt means as I’m not a Native English speaker but I still don’t like the name [name_m]Kurt[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] Cobain but I would even go so far and name a son Cobain with the cute nn [name_m]Cobe[/name_m] as having to use [name_m]Kurt[/name_m]. I think it sounds better when pronounced the [name_m]German[/name_m] way but even then I don’t like it. I think it’s too short, old-fashioned and it sounds a bit like gibberish.

I associate [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] with people before I think of the word. It’s an established name, and I don’t think the word is even used enough to be much of an issue (or at least I don’t say it much). I think it’s fine.

Like the pp., I think of the name before the word. I like [name_m]Kurt[/name_m].

I like it. I think short names are very underappreciated nowadays.

I like it. It sounds strong, but still cool, and is ready for a comeback!

I love [name_m]Kurt[/name_m], I actually associate [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] with wolves sinc the Turkish word for wolf is kurt.

I have never been a fan of [name_m]Curt[/name_m]/[name_m]Kurt[/name_m] or [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]. Reminds me of curds, like cheese or spoiled dairy products.

I think of the name and it is fine to use.
