Is Madeline going to be dated in 10-20 years?

I know all the [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] names are so popular, so I try to avoid them. Growing up, I loved the [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] books. I had three cloth [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] dolls, 2 [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] doll houses, and a [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] tea set. [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I see the book, I fall back in love with the name. People already tell me names on my list are dated ([name_m]Gregory[/name_m], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_m]Paul[/name_m], [name_m]Jason[/name_m], etc.). I still love these names, but I don’t want my daughter to have a boring, dated name. I don’t see myself having kids until 10-15 years from now. Is [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] going to be the next [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] or [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] or [name_f]Barbara[/name_f]?
Despite all the different pronunciations(I pronounce [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] Mad-uh-Lien (like the word [name_f]Line[/name_f]), but I don’t mind all the other pronunciations and I think it is an easy fix), I really like this name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]?
Thanks for reading!

on a side note, I met a girl named [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] that pronounces her name Mad-uh-LEEN. I was really excited about that. I’ve never met one that pronounced it that way.

I don’t think so. I hope not

I think that it is a classic name that is never going to feel dated. [name_f]My[/name_f] 6 year old daughter is [name_f]Madelaine[/name_f], and my friend’s 80 year old grandmother is [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]. It works for both of them.

I think [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] will be rather dated (but not as much as other trendy name), [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] should be fine.

I consider [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] a classic name, so I don’t think it will ever become dated. I do agree that [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] may become dated in a few years.
