[name_f]Do[/name_f] you feel that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f]” ([name_u]Christmas[/name_u] snow) is too much or sweet? My late grandma was born in [name_u]December[/name_u]. [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] and snowy winters bring special memories to me. We live in the south now, no more snowy winters. I must say we will not miss driving in the snow and the frigid temperatures but I will miss building snowmen and snow forts with my future children, watching them discover snow the first time, [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] lights against the white of snow, etc.
Any other suggestions for a middle name that would bring the same type of feelings?
How about Noelle Eira (ay-rah) it is snow in Welsh.
I feel like it’s a tad too much but manly because I know that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] means [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] thus making the name sound like two word-names to me.
If I didn’t, I’d think it’s a very beautiful sounding combo (which it still is).
I don’t like the repetitive “no” sound, and would be tempted to call her “Snoelle”. There’s lots of lovely [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]/wintery themed threads here on the site though! I also love the name image you are going for, and think a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby would be very romantic (my husband says no, but as a [name_u]December[/name_u] baby myself, I think I have more authority on the matter!), but [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] doesn’t work as a name.
[name_f]Snow[/name_f] is kind of an ugly sounding word (albeit for something quite lovely). I’d nix it. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Serena[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Esperance[/name_f] perhaps?
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is Christmasy and wintery and snowy and homey and all those lovely things enough, all on her own. No need to one-up the theme with the middle name.
I really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] but I don’t really like the [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] combination. I really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f] :). Maybe also [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would work if you don’t think that it sounds too much like [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] …
I do think that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] is way to much of a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] overload. I do agree that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f] could work as it isn’t so obvious, or if you really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] as a combo you could give those as two middles with a non-Christmassy first, like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] or something.
It’s a bit much but I mostly don’t love [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] for the repeated ‘no’ sound. [name_f]Elora[/name_f]/[name_f]Eliora[/name_f]/[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] would work better as far as ‘el’ names go.
As for [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f] is pretty, and I actually really like the sound of [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], despite the double seasonal names.
Hanniekitt, thank you for your suggestions. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are very pretty. I would rather avoid double middle names, just my personal preference.
[name_m]Little[/name_m]-billie, I do like the suggestion of [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would take away the issue with the repeated NO sounds. I wonder if people would think that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is too over the top also.
Emsky, I like the suggestion of [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]. I like the meanings I have found for the name. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] seems to roll off my tongue.
I am now considering [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f].
Disclaimer: I think someone on here was pondering that combo a while back. No idea if they went with it, but I think that’s why it came to mind so easily! Not that I think it should matter, just letting you know It’s a near perfect combo, imo.
I really like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Eira[/name_f]! I also love the suggestion of [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] I see you took [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] off of your list… what about [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]? I love that combo but FI isn’t a fan of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or I’d use it for sure.
Thank you, [name_u]Shilo[/name_u]. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is very nice. I go back and fourth about [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. I am not a fan of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] at all. I wonder at times if [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is too close or could be mistaken for [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. So I keep going back and fourth on that one. I love saying [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] though.
Thank you, flamingo. For some reason I do not like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I love [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] definitely doesn’t work (clear, free from dog pee ). [name_u]Nev[/name_u] is very sweet.
When I first saw this, I thought of a fairytale name, to me, this name is lovely! But I do see your concern with the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] overload, to me it’s not too much of a problem.
