My husband and I love the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] however, we have been told this is a girl character off Glee and the name is now becoming popular as a girls name. Opinions please ![]()
Definitely still ok for a boy [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
I much prefer [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] for a boy. I know one [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], a boy.
Seeing the name on paper, I would assume girl. The popularity on NB shows quite high at #126 for girls and just #363 for boys so I think it’s going, gone to the girls.
I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] for a boy, but unfortunately it does seem like one of those names that is being chosen for more and more girls. There are so many more names now are being used on boys and girls that I don’t think it’s ever going to be a big deal.
[name_m]Quinten[/name_m] and [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] are both great boy names but I did just meet a little girl [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] last week.
If you love it, you’ve found your name.
I agree! [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t let it go to the girls; use [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] for a boy if you like it!
Great for a boy…
I agree with other users, on paper i would guess girl. But i think it’s still pretty unisex and I much prefer it on a boy.
I think this is still a great name for a boy.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it for a boy!!
I wouldn’t be surprised to see it for a boy or a girl. Makes me think of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] from [name_m]How[/name_m] I Met Your Mother and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] on Homeland.
It’s not tainted just because girls are using it. I’d like to think that parents see as little wrong with naming their son a “girls” name as they do with naming their daughter a “boys” name.
The only [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] I have ever known was a boy. I definitely think it is more of a boy’s name.
I actually prefer it on a boy. Which is strange. Most unisex names I like on girls or don’t have a preference.
I think it’s still fine for a boy, as long as you are fine with its increasing use for girls.
As another poster said, on paper, I’d assume [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is a girl, but I would not be surprised to find out otherwise.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is perfectly fine for boys. I’ve only ever met boy Quinns and it would have been my name if I were a boy.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is great for a boy!
Although it’s popular as a girl’s name, it still ranks well for boys. I think it’s a lovely boy name
