Anyone have thoughts on how [name_u]Tate[/name_u] could be a nn? We’re having twins and one will definitely be [name_m]Edward[/name_m], which seems a bit of a mismatch. But [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] as nns, I like.
Thanks!
PS - current leading contender is [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
Have you considered [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]/[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]? [name_u]Tate[/name_u] is sometimes used as an alternative to [name_m]Nate[/name_m].
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] isn’t bad. Pair [name_u]Tate[/name_u] with a solid, masculine classic like [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and you’ll be good to go. (And pair [name_m]Edward[/name_m] with something more contemporary like [name_u]Tate[/name_u].)
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] & [name_m]Edward[/name_m] sound fine to me. [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_u]Tate[/name_u].
I also like the suggestion of [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. I’d normally think of [name_m]Nate[/name_m], though.
[name_m]Nate[/name_m] & [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [[name_m]Eddie[/name_m]] would also be cute.
I agree with what Southern.[name_f]Maple[/name_f] said. [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_u]Max[/name_u] (just an example) and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] sound work beautifully. They would each have a shorter, more contemporary name and a classic, longer name. I love that connection.
Otherwise, [name_u]Tate[/name_u] can work for:
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] – I liked this suggestions. [name_m]Nate[/name_m] can come from this, no reason [name_u]Tate[/name_u] can’t
Tatiano
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u]
[name_m]Matteo[/name_m] – mah-tay-oh
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] sound perfectly fine to me.
(I know people hate other people altering their favourites, but does [name_u]Taite[/name_u] seem more substantial next to [name_m]Edward[/name_m]? The extra letters bulk it out into a more namely looking name to me, if that makes sense. Plus the only little boy with this name spells it that way so it just looks normal to me.)
Tate is short for [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]. I dated a boy named [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and only found out his legal name was actually [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] like 3 months later. He’s not the only one I’ve met.
