Is there anything I can do with the name Vincent?

First let me clarify…No, I don’t want to name my daughter [name]Vincent[/name].

But it is my grandfather’s name (he means a lot to me), and I always dreamed of using [name]Vincent[/name] as a first or middle name for my son if we ever had a boy. Well, I am pregnant with our last baby, which will be daughter number 3. While I am excited to have my 3 girls, I am also a little sad that I will never get to use [name]Vincent[/name].

So I need some ideas if anyone has any…is there anything I can do with the name [name]Vincent[/name] to make it more usable for a girl? [name]Even[/name] if I can find a girls name that is somewhat related or inspired by [name]Vincent[/name], it would be meaningful to me. I just don’t even know where to start with this one!

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

What about [name]Vincenza[/name]? [name]Vincentia[/name]? Or [name]Lavina[/name], it has the [name]Vin[/name] sound in there. [name]Vivian[/name] also sound a little similar to my ear as well.

What about [name]Vinnie[/name]? Nameberry lists it as a nice girls name, diminutive of [name]Lavinia[/name] and a nn for [name]Vincent[/name]. Is there anything else you can use in memory of him? Last name, birth month, anything that he loved?

What about [name]Vincenza[/name]? That’s the only female variant I can think of. Or maybe use his initials? There are a lot of pretty “V” names–[name]Violet[/name]/[name]Viola[/name]/[name]Violetta[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name]/[name]Viviana[/name], [name]Vienna[/name], [name]Veronica[/name]/[name]Verona[/name]/[name]Vera[/name]/[name]Verity[/name], [name]Viviette[/name], [name]Valeria[/name]/[name]Valencia[/name]/[name]Valentina[/name]/[name]Valerie[/name], [name]Vanessa[/name], Vanina (I don’t even know how legitimate it is, but I know this Argentinian/Italian family, and their oldest daughter is Vanina. They always said it was a form of some Italian name?), [name]Victoria[/name]/[name]Vittoria[/name]/[name]Victoire[/name], etc.

Since [name]Vincent[/name] means “conquering”, maybe you could do something with a similar meaning? [name]Vinette[/name] is another form of [name]Vincent[/name] I found, and [name]Nicole[/name]/[name]Nicolette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name]/[name]Cosette[/name] all mean “victory of the people”. And [name]Victoria[/name] of course means “conqueror; victory”…

Good luck!

As previous posters have said, there’s [name]Vincentia[/name] and [name]Vincenza[/name]. Apparently [name]Vinceta[/name] is another variation, according to Nameberry.

You could also use [name]Vinci[/name] (as in [name]Leonardo[/name] da [name]Vinci[/name]) - and, this one may be a stretch, but you could take the last four letters and go with [name]Millicent[/name].

Put [name]Vincent[/name] in the mn spot or go with two mn’s and make it the second mn. You could pull [name]Nettie[/name] from [name]Vincent[/name] for mn or nn ([name]Vincent[/name]=net=[name]Nettie[/name])
