My sister-in-law is expecting a baby boy soon. She is thinking about the name "[name]William[/name]"nn [name]Will[/name], strong and sweet, i know. She thinks the problem is that her last name is [name]Elliott[/name]. Is that too much of a mouthfull? “[name]Will[/name] [name]Elliott[/name]” I don’t think so, but better safe than sorry.
[name]William[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] is very handsome although I do immediately think of [name]Billy[/name] [name]Eliot[/name] the dancer. I have trouble saying [name]Will[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] but if you think about it, most situations where the last name is used are also situations where the full first name could be used too.
I’m probably over conscious of how first and last names flow together, since I really didn’t like my first name w/ my maiden name (2 halting). I do think “[name]Will[/name] [name]Elliott[/name]” is a little awkward and halting…I also think of “[name]Will[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] do what?” or “[name]Will[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] or Won’t [name]Elliott[/name]”?
We have a difficult last name so I really try to think of all possibilities for oddities…hope I didn’t offend! Better to think of all these things before hand and make a truly informed decision. I have 2 nephews named [name]William[/name] ([name]Will[/name]) and it is a great name.
