Hello Name Lovers! So I have a slight dilema. I’ve been hooked on the name [name]Hollis[/name] for a little girl lately. Is that too weird? What is your initial reaction to the name? I am thinking about adding it to my list. Yay or nay? Also, if you happen to like it, would you mind giving me some middle name ideas? I think I would want something very feminine to contrast with the masculinity of [name]Hollis[/name]. Your input is greatly appreciated and taken into consideration
[name]Hollis[/name] is one of the few unisex names I don’t mind on a girl. I think [name]Hollis[/name] can work quite well because it gives you the nn [name]Holly[/name].
If [name]James[/name] and [name]Kyle[/name] can be a girl’s name then I don’t see why [name]Hollis[/name] can’t either. I agree though with pairing it with a more feminine middle name.
[name]Love[/name] the suggestion of [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] :).
Also cka I love that you have [name]Cambria[/name] and [name]Catrin[/name] in your favourites, being a Welshie I love it when people use stuff like that, also [name]Kirsty[/name] is my name :p.
[name]How[/name] about [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Catrin[/name] come to think of it?
I think [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Catrin[/name] could work. Also,
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Brynn[/name] (although some might think this is a bit boyish and too gender ambiguous verging on a boy’s name)
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Reese[/name] (same as above)
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Kirsten[/name]
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Ffion[/name]
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Cerys[/name]
I don’t think it is weird at all, as a matter of fact, I think it fits right in with the surname as first name trend. Its not as unusual as you think. I have seen this used a few times in the birth announcements. I personally do not like it. I find it too masculine.
