Is this Useable?

My husband mentioned a name the other name that I happen to love but I wonder if it is too much. We both love [name]Roman[/name] but finding a middle name that we could both agree on, in a word, difficult.
But [name]Joe[/name] mentioned [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name], and I loved it.
So the question I am posing is: [name]Do[/name] you think this is over the top? Either too out there ( I don’t think so, especially since people don’t go by both their names) or too trekkie? Then there is the meaning. [name]Roman[/name] obviously means from [name]Rome[/name] and [name]Tiberius[/name] means " of the Tiber" i.e the large river that runs through [name]Rome[/name]. What does everyone think?

For me it’s too much, but everyone has their own limits! I do love the name [name]Roman[/name], but combined with [name]Tiberius[/name] it just seems like a big name to live up to!

I like [name]Roman[/name] but combined with [name]Tiberius[/name] it’s just too much.

Not only does it reference the Tiber river, [name]Tiberius[/name] was a [name]Roman[/name] emperor. Far, far too much.

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] would work, if it’s of interest.

Similar to [name]Tiberius[/name]:

[name]Andreas[/name]
[name]Atticus[/name]
[name]Cornelius[/name]
[name]Demetrius[/name]
[name]Ignatius[/name]
[name]Isaias[/name]
[name]Marcellus[/name]
[name]Matthias[/name]
[name]Nicodemus[/name]
[name]Phineas[/name]
[name]Thelonius[/name]
[name]Theophilus[/name]
[name]Tobias[/name]
[name]Ulysses[/name]
[name]Zacharias[/name]

That’s what I was leaning towards; it’s too much. What about [name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name]? I really love the name [name]Moses[/name] and using [name]Tiberius[/name] just might sell DH.

It’s definitely too much. I think [name]Moses[/name] is also a bit too much since that’s such a big figure in religion and one that might be hard to live up to. This is my opinion though…

[name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] is an extremely strong name, but it definitely works. I know we never truly know until they’re here, but what sort of boy do you expect your son to be? A shy, bookish, dreamy boy named [name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] might have it tough, but a leader, an athlete, a devil-may-care iconoclast would wear it extremely well.

I much prefer [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] to [name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name]. I figure most of the time you don’t hear the middle name anyway. (I think [name]Star[/name] Trek though…). But I think [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] is at least the same kind of name, and has a common origin. [name]Moses[/name] and [name]Tiberius[/name] I find to be a lot separately, but together it’s a lot and a bit disjointed for me.

My opinion is that [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] is over the top and [name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] is a lot to live up to. I would rather see [name]Moses[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name] on a child though. I think that [name]Moses[/name] is a strong name which could work well if your son ends up being athletic and/or well-rounded.

[name]Way[/name] too much. [name]How[/name] about [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tobias[/name]? I love [name]Roman[/name]!

Hmmm, I like/love the name [name]Roman[/name] for sure. You’ll know over time if you can handle the large “[name]Roman[/name] [name]Tiberius[/name]”… I would not give up on it just yet.
In the end, why not?!? If you’re feelin’ it, it will be totally cool.

Not sure if someone already suggested this but what about [name]Roman[/name] [name]Tobias[/name]? it has a similar sound to [name]Tiberius[/name]

I mentioned [name]Tobias[/name] to DH. His response: That sounds like a donkey.

In regards to what kind of boy our son would be. hhmm. If I had to venture to guess I would say that if he is like me he is going to be a pistol ( I’m surprised I didn’t push my mother off the deep end) but if he is like my husband he is more likely to be bookish. Either way he is almost sure to be athletic, even as quiet and studious as my husband is, he still plays Ultimate Frisbee for his university.
