I’ve been seeing the name [name]Tina[/name] around, and I’m starting to like it … a lot! <3 Is it alright the way it is, or does it need to be fuller like Christina (nn Tina)? What do you think of the name?
I love the name [name]Tina[/name]!! It has special meaning to me though (it being the name of a stuffed animal kitten I had when I was younger) so I might be bias. But I think it would be adorable on a little girl and beautiful on a teen or adult! Personally I don’t think it needs a fuller name. Also another good thing about it is that it’s not that popular anymore so your probably not likely to run into many (if any) other Tinas. I think if you do want a fuller name I would go with something like [name]Valentina[/name]…
I think a longer name makes it a lot less dated. [name]Tina[/name] and [name]Gina[/name] are very 70s/80s to me, but [name]Mina[/name] and [name]Lina[/name] are more modern. For me, long [name]Tina[/name] forms are much less dated. Possibilities:
[name]Valentina[/name]
[name]Christina[/name]
Agostina/[name]Augustina[/name]
[name]Bettina[/name]
[name]Justina[/name]
[name]Quintina[/name]
[name]Catina[/name]
[name]Clementina[/name]
[name]Martina[/name]
If it were me I would name her [name]Christina[/name] or another longer name and use the nn [name]Tina[/name]. :).
I agree, [name]Tina[/name] is very outdated. Sounds like someones mom… I love [name]Daisy[/name]'s suggestion [name]Valentina[/name]! You could use [name]Tina[/name] but I knew a girl named valen. She could choose valen later if she’s tired of [name]Tina[/name].
