Is Wilhelmina usable?

[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is a family name for me and we love the nn [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_m]Can[/name_m]/ should we use [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Willa[/name_f] or should we just use [name_f]Willa[/name_f]?

usable.

It may depend on where you live as [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is not common here at all so I would go straight to [name_f]Willa[/name_f], but only if you feel it still honours the [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] as intended. I really like sweet [name_f]Willa[/name_f].

I love sweet, simple [name_f]Willa[/name_f], so my personal preference leans towards using it by itself. I think just-[name_f]Willa[/name_f] would work beautifully as an honor name for [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]. But I also think [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] itself is usable and that you should go for it if that’s your preference!

Totally usable!

Definitely usable! I also like the slightly lighter looking spelling [name_f]Willamina[/name_f] :two_hearts:

I love Wilhemina - stunning! I think it’s usable but I’d say only use it if you truly love it and prefer it to just [name_f]Willa[/name_f] (which is equally substantial and lovely)

Yes! I think it’s definitely usable! [name_f]Willia[/name_f] is a sweet nickname, but also lots of other nickname potential - milla, mina etc

Very usable and a lovely nn!

Suuuper usable! I LOVE [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]! [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is adorable and a very natural nn.

Willa or [name_u]Willow[/name_u] or [name_m]Willis[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilson[/name_m]

Wilhelmina is gorgeous, elegant, and strong!

Definitely usable. How can it be unusable?

I’m worried about the difficult spelling!

I think it’s familiar enough that most people will recognise it

Wilhelmina is beautiful! I actually prefer it to ‘just’ [name_f]Willa[/name_f], and would absolutely love to meet one.

Love [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]! [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t think you have to use it as it’s a family name - [name_f]Willa[/name_f] would honour [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] perfectly. But I prefer [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] and definitely think it’s usable!

Yes, totally usable!

It’s a little bit complicated & old fashioned, but that’s the fun of it. It’s unique, & vintage & a family name. All of those good qualities. I like just [name_f]Willa[/name_f] fine, but [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] would give her such a bold classic name to fall back on. I also love [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].

My friend has a sister w/a daughter called [name_f]Willamina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. The spelling drives me nuts. I think that they were trying to make it easier, but it looks so off.

Hope this helps.
