We really like the name [name_u]Winter[/name_u] for our daughters first name, due Boxing [name_u]Day[/name_u].
Our concerns are will she be bullied at school for having an unusual name? or is it the norm now?
Also I’d love suggestions for a middle name.- we like
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] rose
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] ruby
I think [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is absolutely beatific! And she has the option of the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], in case she doesn’t like having an unusual name. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is just gorgeous.
I think [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is lovely! I especially love [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I don’t think it’s all that unusual but if it bothered her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] would work or maybe [name_f]Terri[/name_f].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], but hate it with word names in the middle e.g. [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. I would suggest more names-like names in the middle e.g. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Rue[/name_u].
Personally [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is not my style, but I don’t think a girl named [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is likely to be bullied for her name. Less parents are chosing popular names nowadays and unusual names have become more common.
I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u]! Especially with the nn [name_u]Wyn[/name_u]. Out of your suggestions I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but I’m not sold on the double word thing, just like the pp.
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] is a very pretty word, but I really struggle with seeing it as someone’s actual name, whether it be in the first or middle spot. As a last name, I would love it.
Also, I think your combos bring to mind beautiful imagery, but your daughter would sound like an object (a pretty one, but an object still) with a name like [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
I would agree with minxtruck about giving her a non-word name in the middle, so you avoid the object problem.
I think [name_u]Winter[/name_u]'s sweet but I am in the minority when I say I adore double word names. Such as [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]…
So, I love them all. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are beautiful.
I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. I don’t think it would cause bullying at all.
I agree with several berries that I would use a non-word name in the middle, that way if she doesn’t like her name she has a middle name that she can use.
Oooohhh!! I love all of the Suggestions. Thank you lady’s.
I’m really pleased that nobody seem to think it’s too unusual. I really like the idea of having 2 middle names & also just having one middle normal name .
I love posh middle names like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] to name but a few from the lists.
I like Quirky & classic names & will enjoy reading these ideas out to my partner.
I actually quite like [name_u]Winter[/name_u] on a girl! [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] stands out the most for me but any of the three combos would work.
In this day and age ANYTHING goes, bullying isn’t really an issue with names these days. Funnily enough [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is actually at the top of our list for our daughter due in [name_u]December[/name_u] however I am being put off by how popular [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is and also a fear that it would be shortened to ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]’ because as much as I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u], I really don’t like ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]’ I also wondered would she end up being called ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] the Pooh’?? [name_m]Just[/name_m] my thought process…
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]! It’s very trendy at the moment but fits well with the Harpers and Frankies. I like [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u]!! It’s one of my favorites! So magical. I really love word names and I personally really love when more than one is used in a name! Out of your choices [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are my favorites. If using two word names is what you want to do then I think you should go ahead and do it. And if you’re worried about it being “too unusual” all three of your middle name choices are pretty normal/common so I wouldn’t worry.
