[name]Hi[/name], i would like to know what peoples opinions are on the name [name]Isaac[/name].
what do you think of when you hear or say the name?
Does [name]Ike[/name] make a good n/m?
Does it sound overly religious?
It is a name that would likely cause name calling at school etc…?
I like [name]Ike[/name] =) I do prefer [name]Isaiah[/name] to [name]Isaac[/name] it has a gentler feel.
I think the religious overtones of the name aren’t as strong anymore now that it’s use has become pretty wide spread. That also mean that it shouldn’t cause problems at school. OT names are pretty hot right now so he’d fit right in. I think most people know how to spell [name]Isaac[/name].
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Isaac[/name]! It’s just such a strong and handsome name. I can’t imagine any potential teasing from this name. It’s familiar but not over-used, which I think is ideal. [name]Ike[/name] is very cute, but I think if it were me I would just call him [name]Isaac[/name] and let him take on that nickname (or not) as he gets older.
This is in my top 3 boys names at the moment - glad there is some love out there for it! Not sure about [name]Ike[/name], but I’m in Australia, and [name]Ike[/name] is a bit American I reckon. An [name]Isaac[/name] in Australia would get called [name]Zac[/name] if they had a nickname.
I like the name [name]Isaac[/name]. [name]Ike[/name] is a cute nickname. I don’t think it’s overly religious, and I don’t picture there being any name-calling at school. I dated an [name]Isaac[/name] in high school, and I don’t ever remember anyone making fun of his name. He was nicknamed “Ice,” which was his football nickname, something about being “slippery” getting past the other team or something. Also, Vanilla Ice and Ice Ice [name]Baby[/name] was popular then
