Isabel, Isabelle or Isabella?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Which do you prefer with these three names - [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]? And why? Thank you so much.

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] best, because it looks the most sleek, and it’s the spelling associated with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] from The Portrait of a Lady.

Definitely [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Because 1) I’m a sucker for most [name_f]Belle[/name_f] names. 2) I love french names in general. 3) I love [name_f]Belle[/name_f], it means beautiful and has an awesome Disney princess connection. 4) [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is way too popular for my taste.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]! It’s the [name_m]French[/name_m] way, more feminine than [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] but not as frilly as [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].

I greatly prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], which was not one of your choices. It looks modern to me, modern in a good way. Of the spellings you have there I choose [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] looks incomplete to me. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is too long and is begging to be shortened to [name_f]Bella[/name_f] which I do not care for… not due to Twilight but because it sounds like ‘belly’.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is pretty.

^^ I second that

My favorite is also [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. It seems the most stream-lined and modern while retaining its femininity.
Since that’s not an option, I’d go with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. Same reasons as above. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is not bad but it looks like a question to me: Is a belle…? [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is too frilly for my taste and I’m also tired of hearing it. (Sorry, just honest opinion.)

I think [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is the prettiest.

My favourite is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] as I love the nickname [name_f]Bella[/name_f] and, believe it or not, it’s not a popular name where I live at all. I know an [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] and an [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but not an [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].

Out of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] but [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is my favourite.

I’m on the [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] bandwagon, as well. It makes the name more sophisticated than frilly, although equally as feminine and romantic.

[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. If that’s not an option, I’d go with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] or Isable. Sleek and sophisticated and less popular and trendy than the other variations in my opinion.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]! Sweet and straightforward and sophisticated. And less connected to Twilight and the proliferation of [name_f]Bella[/name_f]'s because of the spelling. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is too frilly for me. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is still a little too much and to me also just looks like the end of a sentence “___ is a belle.” I also like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], which a pp mentioned, a lot.

I like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] the best. I think [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is beautiful but far too popular and I think the [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] spelling is the prettier of the variations for that name.

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] best, I think it’s the cleanest. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] doesn’t interest me at all.
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is nice, but… Meh.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is the best, do not like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. This name is okay, just way too popular for the first spot in my opinion.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] looks more complete to me, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] because it’s still pretty but looks more simple. I kind of like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] but it’s a bit too frilly and just way too overused. I really dislike [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] though, the ‘‘o’’ just throws me off.
