Which do you prefer?
Where I live I have some concerns that Isla won’t be pronounced correctly since it’s a bit of a new/trendy name in the US. No problem with Isabelle obviously! This is based on the fact that literally everyone I’ve mentioned Isla to in real life does not know how to pronounce or spell it. 
I only know a couple people with young kids.
Isla is technically more popular than Isabelle but of course Isabella is very popular too.
I adore [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but I won’t use it due to the same concern (I also live in the US).
I feel [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is timeless and beautiful!
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]. Also in the US. I know a couple Islas and don’t think the pronunciation has been a big issue.
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is beautiful! This is my favourite variant. It has an elegant feel and the right amount of frills. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is nice, but I’m kinda tired of it.
Everyone knows how to pronounce it here in [name_f]Canada[/name_f], and also, everybody knows [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] I’m sure in the US, so I’m sure it shouldn’t be that much of an issue, it’s my favorite is the two, [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] seen just old and dated and boring now
Interesting! No one I’ve mentioned it to knows how to pronounce it. I have to tell them it’s like “island” then they get it. Maybe if I talked to someone who worked with young kids they might be familiar with it? I first saw [name_f]Isla[/name_f] on a toddler on a blog and didn’t even make the connection to [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m], but I’m not a huge movie person. I definitely thought it was said Is-la at first!
Both are beautiful, but Isla still feels fresh to me. I’m also in the US, but luckily I haven’t met any Isla’s yet! I don’t think pronounciation would be a huge issue, once people know “Oh it’s Isla like an Island!”
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is hands down my favourite!
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] has this elegant reserved delicacy and genuinely very classic name that is beautiful. I prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (and Isobel) to [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] as I feel they are more streamlined. But yes [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is beautiful.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] feels trendy never really liked it
I definitely prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f]! [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is a nice name, but doesn’t do much for me. I like that [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is still very feminine, but more vivacious and less delicate sounding.
The spelling/pronunciation are easy and make sense once learned. Plus, teachers (especially by the time she’s in school) and everyone she meets her age and younger will likely be familiar with the name. Besides, even with [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], you might well get people calling her [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or even asking if it’s spelled with one L or two.
This. I’m in the US and I think Isla Fisher is a good reason why people here should be able to pronounce the name easily enough, if not immediately than with a simple clarification.
I greatly prefer Isla to Isabelle. Nothing wrong with Isabelle, just a personal taste thing 
I know so many Islas that I don’t think the pronunciation will be a problem. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] (spelled as such) just isn’t a favorite of mine, which is why I prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f] … but either are beautiful names!
Both are beautiful but I slightly prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. It’s lovely and elegant
Both are very beautiful. [name_f]My[/name_f] personal style is very classic, so I slightly lean towards [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. However, I prefer the sleek spelling of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. Overall, I prefer [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] as it has such an elegant, international flair.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is also very pretty. I like that it seems modern yet delicate.
I like both, although my personal baby-naming style is pretty classic, so I would choose [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. (Actually, I prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but I like the -belle ending too.) I don’t think an [name_f]Isla[/name_f] in the US would have too hard of a time though. She might have to say “like island” or “like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Fisher” the first time she meets a new person, but then people will get it. And I think it’s growing in popularity here to the point where it probably won’t be like that all her life.
I love [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. It’s just so soft and sweet. I go through spurts where I don’t love it as much because I just hear so often, but really, it’s super sweet 
Absolutely use [name_f]Isla[/name_f]! [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is so overused in comparison. For the pronunciation concerns, I would just tell people it’s “island” without the -nd part.

There is also [name_f]Eila[/name_f] or [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] if you want a different spelling for [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and love the nn. [name_f]Izzie[/name_f], [name_u]Isa[/name_u], [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_u]Abi[/name_u], but I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] to [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]

I prefer the brevity of [name_f]Isla[/name_f]! While pronunciation might be a problem, it’s a simple fix.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] feels too trendy to me. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is much more timeless!
